Am I a Baller yet? (Splitting up the Loot)

Any chance we can split up the loot so I can see how much money I have to make some purchases? I just was shy of getting all the mats to have someone assist in crafting an inelegance headband by about 40G last time.
Fully Agree. Here is a full list of what we have received, and the breakdown of what everyone receives. For those single use items, I put a proposal as to whom it can go to. I will also clarify that everything given to us individually (including the 150GP each from House Kundarak), is excluded from the below, and was presumed that you were tracking that individually. 700 GP gems (7 x 100) 1,000 GP Gems (10 x 100) 1,400 GP platinum (140PP) 400 GP gems (8x50) Total - 3,500 total - 500GP each Bag of Holding (Thornduk) Potion of Climbing (?) Unseen Servant Scroll (Gnipity) Protection from Evil & Good scroll (Gnipity) 3 everburning candles (Kodiak) 5 Feather Fall Tokens (#1 - Thornduk, #2 - ?, #3 - ?, #4 - ?, #5 - ?) 1 Scroll of Summon Greater Demon (Gnipity) Scroll of Whirlwind (Gnipity) Potion of Superior Healing (Tari - used hers on Thornduk) Bag of Beans Note that I put Gnipity down for scrolls, as he has the opportunity to put some in his spellbook. However, these may be of interested to Tari, or anyone else really that can cast spells. This leaves the Potion of Climbing, 4 Feather Tokens, and a Bag of Beans up for grabs. Although the Bag of Beans can be fun, I think it's something we can look at selling, distributing the gold, unless someone wants it.
Kodiak would like a feather token.  He used both of his during the ship fight.
Now that we have gold, I'd also like to commission a Sentinel Shield (gives me advantage in initiative)
Myron M. said: Now that we have gold, I'd also like to commission a Sentinel Shield (gives me advantage in initiative) Acknowledged. I'm working on building a construction team of 4 people. That will reduce the creation time for a magic item to 4 days, but we can only work on one at a time. So, it amounts to how much downtime we have and where we put things in the priority list if we have less than 28 days downtime. It also means that everyones downtime will be spent building rather than doing other things.
(DM aside—a Hero Point to Steve C. for bravely stepping forward to serve as team treasurer and coordinator of team crafting tasks to date. Talk about herding cats! Well done, sir.)
Thanks for organizing this.  I have no problem with any of the item allocations that you have proposed.  The only scroll there that I think I would have access to is the Scroll of Protection Against Good and Evil, so I could take that if Gnipity or anyone else doesn't have a use for it. Sonn is fine with selling the Bag of Beans (though honestly, Emmett thinks it would be fun to see them be used...). I also wouldn't mind taking one of the Feather Fall Tokens if there are enough to go around–Sonn has used all of his.
In a very Brothers Grimm twist we can trade the bag of beans for a cow (maybe a magical cow)?
Thanks Steve for the breakdown also. So using the info you posted on magical items: item will take 400gp and 16 days. 2 People = 8 Days 3 People = 5.3 Days 4 People = 4 Days Headband of Intellect What is my part in all of this and is it just Emmett ans Steve who can craft? Vellios want's to take that shortcut and get smart. My understanding is I would be assisting because of the Arcana aspect and then the crafter would be building, so 2 people, right? Also would either of you be willing to commit to the creation?
Hey KC, We had a (probably TL;DR) discussion about crafting magic items in the "Magic Items" thread that might answer some of your questions. Regarding Vellios's ability to craft or help, we said: "As far as who can assist with the physical crafting of the item: anyone can contribute money and materials, but the folks  contributing time to   leading  (edit: oops, read the rules wrong; anyone can contribute to the crafting process) the crafting have to be spellcasters with spell slots of the appropriate level. DMG pp. 128-29. I'd include Vellios's arcane trickery and Tari's pact magic in the  leading the process  category for these purposes." So, anyone in the party can contribute time and materials to creating an item. All of the spellcasters in the group--that's everyone except Sedriss and Kodiak at this point!--can lead a crafting process of their own. But everyone is operating under the same restrictions otherwise-- plus , only Sonn and Thornduk have a dragonshard, which is consumed in the process of crafting an item. So, it's up to Sonn or Thornduk whether to volunteer the shard for that crafting project. Without the shard, it's 500 gp/20 days to craft an uncommon item, which is all y'all can craft at this stage. As a practical matter, the group members will need to decide which projects to begin and prioritize. I told the group that y'all can expect about a week's travel associated with the next adventure, and that the group can use that travel time to engage in downtime activities like crafting provided that it can be accomplished while traveling. It's up to you to decide with your party members what you choose to do with that time!
KC, Sonn would be happy to contribute both time and resources towards crafting for whoever needs it.  Depending on the amount and location of future downtime, Sonn may have other business he'll need to attend to, but for this upcoming travel period, he should be able to spare the majority of his time. It sounds like Steve has a pretty good handle on what is needed and is working to coordinate things, so you might connect with him.  I'll go along with whatever plan you all come up with.
Cool, we can figure it out later tonight. :) Emmett E. said: KC, Sonn would be happy to contribute both time and resources towards crafting for whoever needs it.  Depending on the amount and location of future downtime, Sonn may have other business he'll need to attend to, but for this upcoming travel period, he should be able to spare the majority of his time.
