Acquisitions incorporated - any reviews?

Looks fun but its mostly a sourcebook - seems expensive at $49 and I could see there being little crunch in roll20.
I apologize, but I'm struggling to find meaning in your post.  Your question is asking for reviews, yet you gave your opinion that you feel it's "a fun expensive sourcebook."  If there is any way you can further explain your post, that would be appreciated.

I think Aron meant is it as fun as it looks, and is there enough material to justify the price. There is a lot of material in there. I'm a fan of the series, but I see it as D&D as performance art, not as a game. The stage shows play pretty fast and loose with rules in favor of providing entertainment. That being said, the book is crunchy enough. The worth your money question is difficult to answer. I'd look for online reviews of the book to get a more in-depth analysis of the content (since no one can just go to a bookstore anymore). Everything in the print edition will be in the module/compendium addition on Roll20.

I own it in hardback. It's a pretty amusing read. I agree with Keith's assessment that it "is crunchy enough", but I would add "if you love the series or are planning on actually incorporating (no pun intended) AI-style elements to your game", because honestly I think the fluff is the real value here. I feel I got my money's worth, but if you are just looking to poach moar crunchz for your homebrew game... $49 is a lot, IMO.
Thanks guys, Keith yup that was my question. Based on the summary it seems like a fun book to read, but not clear that the "roll20 value add" (e.g. technical integration and crunch) is worth the $50 price vs. $30 on Amazon/DnD Beyond (where its easy to share with players to read and get into the flavor as well). That said, I'm a slut for Roll20 and will probably buy it here, thanks again!
