Premise Throughout eastern Abrassar the legend of The Vault has long been spoken of. The Vault, said to contain a treasure the likes of which no man has ever seen, has started the quest of so many adventurers that they have their own title: Vault-hunters. It is this legend that prompts King Graham of Daventry to send forth his traveling minstrels to put out the call to would-be vault-hunters. The former warlord is convinced the legendary treasure hides within his borders and, as he grows near to death, he is offering all that he has to see this last wonder of the land before he passes. Any ‘hunter that leads the King to the Vault, to be the first man to see it’s splendor, will be named the heir of Daventry! The Famous Five are one such group of vault-hunters. Having earned the King’s patronage by stopping the brain-sucker of Davenport they set out with hidden knowledge from the depths of the royal library. After a battle with the horrible Chimera they’ve stumbled into the Feywild and it’s myriad array of exotic threats! Hags and elves, sprites and tortles, with each fresh danger their steps carry them ever closer to the location of The Vault! Setting The world of Abrassar can be easily described as 'generic fantasy'. I would say take the magic of Forgotten Realms, the flavor of the Witcher, and the gravitas of Lord of the Rings and mix them together. The two big concepts are that this is a human-centric world and fae take the place of devils/demons. The three playable races are humans, mutants (using the Half-orc), and half-elves. More information on the setting and character creation can be found in the campaign google doc (linked below).  Campaign Progress It is important to note that this campaign has been running for 22 sessions since my original round of recruitment. I understand that joining a campaign after Game 1 is daunting and difficult. Take a moment to consider whether you can cope with this prospect. It could take several sessions to fully start to feel comfortable and apart of the group.  The party is currently level 4. They have been in the feywild and were finally captured by a coven of hags, but managed to escape. The enemy was alerted to their escape attempt and a great battle followed, almost seeing the party massacred. In the end a sort of bargain was reached, the full effects of which are not yet understood, but we left off with the clear indication the party would be released. Your character will join the party shortly after their restored freedom as they once again begin following various leads towards The Vault. I keep a log of past games which you are free to read if it helps you make a decision about joining, but it's neither required nor expected reading material: King's Request Adventure Log Game Notes A few points about the game that could be a deal maker or breaker: Ability Scores will be rolled randomly, down the line, using 3d6 reroll 1s. I realize the implications of random rolls and thought about this a long time. I feel it's right for this campaign.  All characters begin with a free feat. Human's get a second feat but it must be non-combat in nature.  I will not be using battlemaps. This will be theater of the mind with sketches as needed.  Maps of Abrassar, the area around Daventry, an overview of the setting, and character creation guidelines can all be found in the King's Request Campaign Overview Session Info Time: Weekly, Thursday nights, 7pm-10pm US Eastern.  Audio: Discord. A microphone is required.  Video: Discord. A webcam is required.  System: Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Attendance: Take a moment to consider whether you can commit to 3 hours every Thursday night without regular conflicts.  If you're interested in joining please post in the campaign specific LFG forum  (or send me a PM). Include what it is you bring to the table and why this game specifically interests you. I don't pick players based on character ideas so you do not need to post a character. But, if you want to talk about previous characters or ideas about this game go for it. I intentionally leave what to put in the opening message vague so as to avoid boilerplate cookie-cutter answers. While the listing is active I'll make an effort to respond to any interest.
