Hello, my name is Andrew and thank you for taking the time to read my post!   I've decided to add an additional Savage Worlds (SWADE) game to my TRPG rotation (as GM) and I'm looking for 3 to 4 players to join me. The game is going to be using Broken Earth or The After supplement--no familiarity needed. Right now, I'm planning to host the game 6:30 PM (EST) on Tuesdays,  bi-weekly--although that's subject to change.   If you're still interested, you can find more details below. Please read them, as it's quite possible this game is not up your alley--not all play styles mesh, and that's totally fine, but if I'm hosting a game it's going to be geared toward what I prefer in tabletop.   The System - As stated, using Savage Worlds (SWADE). Newcomers to SWs are welcome--I've only been using SW for about a year! Plan on using The After or Broken Earth rules supplement.   The Rules - I use the core SW rules (roll wild die, get a 4), but beyond that I'm ambivalent. I don't rules lawyer. I don't want to play with rules lawyers--although I appreciate hearing a RAW after session. I prefer to NOT look up rules at the table.   Style - I don't want to play a war game. I understand SW is actiony (although I think it lends itself to playing out any type of drama, not just combat). If you have a tactical combat itch, this game will not scratch it, and that play style really won't be supported. Game focuses on RP, characters and narrative. It's not uncommon for tables I host to not have combat for several sessions--but this is ultimately something the players are dictating, so yeah. "Theater of the Mind"--very few tokens, no maps.   Player Agency - I encourage (and expect?) players to take part in building the world and story. It's not my story, it's the characters' story. I'm of the philosophy of playing to see what happens, rather than planning an adventure with story beats. This can be simple like asking a player an interesting feature of the settlement they just entered, or more complex like asking a player what their character has heard about a particular ruin, or who their contact is and how they became indebted or friendly. More often then not, when a player asks me if their character "would know this" I turn the question back on them.   Characters - Don't worry about his until session 0--players make characters together and give and take input on character ideas etc.   Session 0 - This is important to me. This when players and GM develop the ideas, themes, and buy in for the type of game we're going to be playing! Feedback is important here and precious ideas don't help. This is a deal breaker to me, and if you don't appreciate the importance of this concept this may not be the game for you…   Well, if you're still interested after all that, Private Message me with the following info:   Preferred name. Age and general location--Midwest, Europe, West Coast, etc. (I don't need to, nor want to, know exactly where you live haha). How long have you been playing TRPGs. Do you prefer your TRPG sessions to be more like a novel, a movie, or a show (netflix, TV, etc.)? And why?!
