A ten-foot-high log palisade surrounds the compound, whose main building is a two-story stone-and-wood affair with a high-pitched roof, gables, window shutters, and a stone chimney. Attached to the main building is a blocky tower of gray stone, its high roof lined with battlements. Other structures include a two-story stable house and a gatehouse whose flat roof is enclosed by iron railings. A stone bridge spans the river, ending before an oaken door set into the gatehouse’s outer wall. The large house is set atop a six-foot-high stone foundation, and the main entrance has a balcony above it. Pumpkins grow wild in patches around the manse, with several wild boars feeding among them. The boars snort with contempt as you draw near.   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Those boars will probably make some good bacon and sausage later"   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, it's up to you on what you go about doing here now. Stone steps climb to a portico with a stone balcony overhanging it at a height of ten feet. Vines wrap around the balcony’s support pillars and its crumbling stone railing. The ground-floor entrance features a double door with a giant boar’s head crudely carved into it. An unmarred double door stands closed on the balcony.   Roqar: Walk up to the front door, checking for traps 17 | 16 PERCEPTION  (1) Roqar   Dungeon Master (GM): you find no trap   Roqar: Knock loudly   Dungeon Master (GM): ok, checking on a response to that knock or not ok no one answers the door.   Roqar: Is the door locked?   Dungeon Master (GM): you open the door so it's not locked you see an undecorated hall, with a moldy staircase   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Come on guys, Lets go inside"   Farren the Elf Monk Says: "see anything inside?"   Dungeon Master (GM): an opening to the north and i guess what looks like a fireplace to the south east   Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "hallway and stairs not sure I'd use the stairs" Says: "Anybody home?"   Dungeon Master (GM): Ok, now i think that is actually a dooway with those wood pieces being a busted door, not logs from a fireplace   Roqar: Alright so doorway North East and SE?   Dungeon Master (GM): north, stairs, east and south east look to be ways to go I am still a bit confused here myself from what is written and what the map shows. hold on i am looking at something ok, from that busted door I Think is supposed to be steps going down so take your pick which way you wish to explore

The room is s strewn with broken furniture, the remains of chairs, side tables and a wine cabinet. There is a mold cicular rug covering most of the stone floor. A fireplace dominates the south side of the room, and a smashed wooden dining table lies in a heap in the eastern half of the room, surrounded by six broken chairs.   Roqar: 17 | 16 PERCEPTION  (1) Roqar   Dungeon Master (GM): ok Roqar spots several small twig figures resting on the mantlepiece. you also see a candelabrum in the wreckage of the table 8 twig figures in all   Roqar: Check the candleabrum Worth taking? also watching the twig figures Do they move?   Dungeon Master (GM): You can take the candlelabrum.
