Noob and Friend *send help* (in need of players and a kind DM)

I am a 25 y/o healthcare worker with time on my hands and 1 friend who wants to play DnD (5e) I have no idea what I'm doing but I would love to play with some people who can walk us through it. She bought some starter set adventure thing which would be cool to try out. I will ask her about what it is tomorrow since I totally forgot. I am personally wanting to see if we could do a one-shot/ one session horror thing for Halloween to figure out the mechanics of this game. We both have never played tabletops before but I play a lot of video games if that helps at all.  Looking for a role play mostly and sometimes battle sort of DM, definitely not focused on battling, more on storytelling/having fun. Looking for players/potential online buds As far as nights available go, I am free every night but thurs

In ages past, an ancient town was lost and destroyed to a seige of orcs. Only one building survived and to this day, the manor is the only still standing building to be seen for miles around. Some say it is haunted, a few whisper of great treasures within, whilst others whisper that it is the manor itself that lives!  No one knows for sure, only that a great evil haunts its halls. Hello! I realize you asked for a one shot, but if there's any chance you'd be interested in a longer campaign I have an offer for you. :) I'm relatively new as a DM myself, been running games since April when I was still locked in my house. My first couple games ran pretty smoothly for about three months, but then everyone got back to work and found themselves on all kinds of different schedules. We'd known from the start that this was inevitable sooner or later, but still sucked to see the group fall apart. The last couple weeks we've been getting stuff going again after about a four month hiatus and I'm looking to get a second game started up. So far almost everyone that I've played the game with has been either brand new to the game, or maybe had a few sessions under their belt when we started, so I'm totally used to new players. If I'm being honest, I prefer them. Everything is new and exciting to them and it gives the adventure a whole different feel I think. As far as availability, I'm currently free Tuesday and Wednesday nights (EST) as well as any morning except for Friday if that would be an option as I work overnights. I've found that four players is the perfect number, especially if the group is interested in something more RP heavy. More than that in an RP leaning session and things tend to get a little chaotic.
