Dynamic Lighting issue

Hey everyone I'm struggling with dynamic lighting atm. It seems however I set up the page (either using Advanced Fog of War with Dynamic Lighting or using Updated Dynamic Lighting) when I go to check the players' view all I see is a completely blacked out map. I've tried setting up the players' tokens in various ways - emitting light / see in darkness, etc, both Advanced mode and Updated mode - and I've tried hitting the binoculars/explore button in the hide/reveal dropdown on the left panel. I've tried setting explorer mode, and tried setting up the page settings from the page dropdown at the top in both the Advanced tab and the Updated Dynamic Lighting tab. Nothing seems to work?! All the players see is darkness! Aaargghh!!! Can anybody suggest something I've missed? From my point of view on the GM view it all looks good. I've set up the Dynamic Lighting overlay with polygon "walls" to block off areas, and the tokens are emitting cones of light revealing what they should. I just don't get why the Players' view is blacked out no matter what I do. This is happening with every page I try it with, too. What's frustrating is that I had it working a month or so ago on my last set of maps, although that may have been beginner's luck I'm beginning to suspect - but at least I know it's possible to get it working; I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Can you see the player token? If not, you might not have "Has sight" ticked (LDL). If you definitely do have that ticked, maybe post a screenshot of your token settings.
Hi Roll 20 forum Oosh, I tried your suggestion, thank you, but to no avail unfortunately. These are my screenshots for when I try Advanced Fog of War & Dynamic Lighting: These are my settings for Updated Dynamic Lighting: I've also tried selecting this: Here you can see my GM view - the token is emitting a cone of light, and there are two triangular areas of brightness that are only visible when the page is zoomed out. I have absolutely no idea why these have appeared. One is in the bottom left corner, the other in the top left area of the map. The player view also shows these two triangular revealed areas, but there's no light from the token. When I stay zoomed in on the player view, it's all in darkness: Can you see anything I've missed toggling on any of the settings (page or token)?  And why are there these two triangular areas revealed to the players?  Seems bizarre to me. No matter what combination of settings I try, whether in Advanced Fog of War/Dynamic Lighting or Updated Dynamic Lighting mode, the tokens remain invisible to the players/don't emit light. And these triangular reveals have appeared out of nowhere - obviously the map is supposed to be all in darkness apart from a cone of light emitting from the player tokens. Help!!!
It appears to me that perhaps the player token is not in the field of view, try scrolling the view around and see it you can find it.

Hey Thanks for your suggestions Farling & KoS. I made sure to scroll to the bottom left where the tokens are, but it's all in a stygian veil of blackness still. I wondered if it was a browser issue (all the screenshots above are in Chrome) so I tried opening Roll 20 in Edge and Firefox, but the same issues remain: no token light on the player page and bizarrely revealed corners. It's only when I zoom out that you can see the unwanted triangular reveals are actually just the edges of a band of darkness. You can see it here: And here is a screenshot when zoomed right out: These are both the views I get when I switch to player view. Not much good for dungeon exploration! It's set up as I described earlier in this thread, with the page set up for Updated Dynamic Lighting and the tokens likewise. I get the same issue when I revert to Advanced Fog of War/Dynamic Lighting modes. I've run out of ideas to fix this - perhaps the only way is to go back to standard Fog of War and reveal areas manually? (Annoying when I'm paying a subscription for the dynamic lighting feature.) Or can anybody think of something I've omitted or done wrong?
Does it work with Explorers Mode off?
Hey Dean S. - thanks for the tip. I turned off explorer mode and the strange issue with band of darkness with corners revealed resolved itself. The whole map is in darkness in player view, which is certainly an improvement, so thanks for that. Unfortunately I still can't see the tokens as I should with UDL. I have the tokens set up with Vision, Night Vision (60 ft.) and emitting Bright Light to 60 ft, as shown in the screenshots in the first post on this thread. Have I set the tokens up correctly?
Eureka! Just wanted to thank everybody on this forum for their suggestions. I got there in the end, although it's not a perfect solution. I've had to abandon Updated Dynamic Lighting altogether - it just doesn't seem to be working for me; all I get is darkness no matter how I set up the page or tokens. Am I right in thinking it's still in beta? Maybe it's just glitchy, I dunno.  Anyway, in case this helps anyone else who's having the same problem, these are the settings I needed for the players to be able to see their tokens: Page: Advanced Fog of War and Dynamic Lighting checked Token: Token Emits Light & All Players See Light checked. All Players See Light seems to be the key thing that made the difference. I checked it as a last resort without much hope for it making a difference but it came up trumps. Just in time too - we play tomorrow! Thanks again all.  Player view (yay!)...
I had a similar issue the other night, spent a stupidly long time trying to work out settings on a page and tokens drafted up a thread on the forums Then realised I had the player ribbon on another sheet and that’s why token view worked but re-joining as a player didn’t (felt quite silly...)
Yup - done that one before too. You're not alone, Stavros!
