I am looking for a new player to join our existing game. Another player was unable to continue due to scheduling. Games are Sundays 1pm to 5pm EST, that time is solid. We have 4 players, all around 6th or 7th level. The game is in a custom setting, it is a somewhat standard setting with 2 main "hooks": 1) The gods are not immortal and did not create the world but are merely powerful creatures. These entities at times play an active role in world events, and many of them have been killed by other entities or powerful mortals. a 2) There are a number of alternate realities linked to the gameworld, different versions (think the tv show Fringe but in a fantasy setting). The kind of player I am looking for: - shows up on time or emails right away if they cannot make it - does not need to be the center of attention - strives for players to work together, and likes to RP at least as much as fight - don't need to play a strange race or bizarre class combo to have fun - are not worried about a build, feats, classes, or other things not included in this campaign (ONLY Core Rules and Adv. Player Guide) It will be 5 races only (human, elven, dwarven, gnomish, halfling - half-races like half-elf or half-orc don't exist ) and just Core Rulebook and some Advanced Player Guide (by DM approval), 25 points for abilities, 2 traits, more details to follow soon. NO EXCEPTIONS! Did you catch the last paragraph? Only Core Rules and Advanced Player Guide. No exceptions to ANY house rules, so please, don't ask! If your build doesn't work because of a missing feat, you are looking at the wrong game! Leveling will be faster at first, slower later, and standard amounts of gold and magic items, crafting costs of non-consumable items x2 costs, items somewhat rarer in towns and cities except potions and scrolls. PC reputation with different power groups will be meaningful IG, with player decisions making a large difference in the world towards the end of the campaign for the next one. We are currently on our 17th session of all-original adventures, with players getting to about 12th level by the end of this plotline. If players would rather play on, we can do a sandbox style from 12th onward, but players will need to set goals they wish to achieve. Text RP is totally cool. At times I will switch to text, especially on NPC interations, as I can RP much better at times this way.
