Yes! You, too, can adventure in the Jungles of Chult where a
variety of dinosaurs roam! Ok, ok – there are a bunch of undead,
too, but... dinosaurs! What? You want to find out why there are
so many undead and put a stop to that? And also figure out what else
is going on? Well, alright; there’s much more adventure to be had
than just seeking out dinos, but only if you’re ready for the
challenges, which are many, devious and dangerous! All those
dinosaurs, though…
Warning: This game is very hazardous. The death rate of PCs is
likely to be quite high (and the other two instances of ToA that I’m
currently running support that hypothesis). I strongly suggest that
you do not get too attached to your latest character!

Game information:
- This will be an LGBTQ+ friendly environment. I will not tolerate
any bigotry whatsoever in my sessions.
- I’m in the UK so will be operating on UK time.
- The aim is to run weekly sessions on Sundays at 3pm UK time.
- Sessions will, typically, be 3 to 4 hours in length.
- We will be using Discord for voice communication during game
sessions and a little out-of-session text communication at other
times, especially for session reminders and perhaps a little between
session housekeeping.
- Sessions will happen if there are at least 4 players.
- I do use some APIs to enhance the game experience.
- This is an extensive module that will take many sessions to
complete. This is not for you if you’re only looking for a short
campaign.
- Characters are expected to advance from Level 1 to around Level 9
or 10 during the course of the campaign.
- Please ensure prior to sessions starting that you have a working
setup that is capable of handling Roll20 and Discord at the same
time, including a headset and microphone for the voice chat. This
module is a very large module with some big maps. Ideally, I’d like
to be able to use Advanced Fog Of War, but have noted that on older
computers (especially those without a dedicated GPU) there can be a
lot of slow-down. Consider carefully whether your system is up to it
as it’s frustrating for everyone in the session if there’s one
person having repeated technical problems.
About me:
I’ve been playing and GM’ing various pen-and-paper RPG’s since
the mid 1980’s, with a large emphasis on D&D, but also lots of
hours in Call of Cthulhu and Warhammer FRP, with many more hours
spread amongst various other systems.
Why pay for a DM?
- Roll20 Pro features and a compendium made available to you
(currently: Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, Volo’s Guide to
Monsters, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, Mordenkainen's Tome of
Foes)
- Commitment from me and more likely to have committed players
- I spend time customising the module in places and preparing
sessions in advance
- Lots of experience
Disclaimer
This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of £8
per session paid to PayPal or TransferWise at least 24 hours prior to each session.
Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot
enforce any private arrangements.
Character creation and advancement
The party is currently at level 3, so that's where you'll be joining, too. Create characters using the point buy system for
ability scores, or you can opt for the standard array, if you so
wish.
Your first session will be free, but after that sessions will be paid for as explained above.
Level advancement is based on milestones rather than experience. If
your character dies, your new character will join at the same level
as the rest of the party.
You can use any of the races/classes available in the compendium that
I have, apart from kenku and yuan-ti purebloods. Races and builds
from other officially published, non-beta sources should be approved
by me in advance on a case-by-case basis. No races with flying
speeds. No home-brew.
Sessions will happen if there are at least 4 players but there will
generally be no ghosting of characters. If the player is here then
their character is here – think MMORPG style.
