Hi folks. As the title suggests this is intended to be a combat focused game for people to try out their new options available in the fantastic Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. If you're looking for a combat-focused game that lets you explore the powers of the new options in Tasha's then look no further. This game will be nearly devoid of story as we will focus instead on different themed encounters to challenge the players each week while players progress one level each session. Game Details Time: Weekly on Mondays starting 11/23/2020 1:00pm - 5:00pm PST 6 Sessions / 6 Weeks Character Level: 9 - 14 I typically encourage new players, but this game is best suited for experienced players or DMs who want to get a taste of high level game-play and try out some of the new features in the latest D&D book. This game is inclusive. LGTBQ+ people of all colors and identities are welcome. Bigots need not apply. Discord voice chat is required. I use music and spell sound effects that will play through Discord as we play. This is a paid game. Please be ready to pay $15 after each session via Venmo or Paypal to the DM. If you're not satisfied with your first session and decide this game is not for you, then you can resign from the game and you'll not be expected to pay for the session. But I promise you'll get your moneys worth. You'll find I've prepared all the battles in advance, and that I know how to run smooth, fast-paced combats that are dynamic and challenging. No more waiting around for unprepared DMs who don't know how to use Roll20, nor know the rules in the DMG. Character Creation Characters will start at level 9 and can pick from all the legal WotC books including the PHB, Xanathar's, Volo's, Sword Coast Guide, and Tasha's Cauldron Character can spend up to 3,000 gold on non-magic equipment, arms and armor. This also includes expenses such as a steed with barding for example, or your preferred arms, armor, and attire. Characters can have their choice of (almost) any magic items in the following quantities: 1 Rare magic item 2 Uncommon magic items 3 Common magic items 3 Health Potions, 1 Greater Health Potion, 1 Potion of Resistance (you choose the type, ie Fire) People can definitely inject personality and RP into their character in our game, and should definitely feel encouraged to do so. But as I've said above, this is NOT an RP or story focused campaign. This is an opportunity to meet new D&D friends and to try out some cool new character builds!
