Starting to assemble a group for Princes of the Apocalypse, by way of a Warforged factory. Check listing at the sound of this beep. (Current launch is set to Dec 16th, but that isn't set in stone.) (New Player Friendly!) Set within the time-frame established by Rising from the Last War, the uneasy peacetime has only existed for five years. Scars run deep when most races grandparents can't remember hating another for which side their nation warred on, and now, as the dust has settled, it seems things may have been happening behind it all. In Sharn, the City of Spires, goods are being moved and gangs are mobilizing, paid to stage a back and forth war by strings being pulled elsewhere, and recently, large natural disasters have been causing commotions across the whole continent of Khorvaire. Though, none quite so bad as those wrecking havoc in the Eldeen Reaches and Aundair. As scholars race to find meaning in the nigh imperceptible Dragon Prophecies, soldiers move in lines to fight once more; and amidst it all, a band of adventurers, unknowns from different walks of life converge on the request of a Sergeant of the Sharn Watch. Sergeant Germaine Vilroy, former soldier of Breland, has her hands tied as the watch cannot make a move on the recent disturbances. All that is known, all that can be guessed at, or divined, is that a whole mess of trouble is brewing, and the ones behind it aren't keen on letting their faces be associated. So thinks the sphinx Flamewind, the local rags proclaim. So, some shopkeeping; this is a long term campaign, that will be played weekly, in three hour session. I've a couple days it could be set on, and I'm in EST time zone, so the following times will be with that in mind. Mondays, I can do 6-9 pm (1800-2100); Wednesdays, I can carve any time slot 6-Midnight (1800-0000) and the same option for Fridays. Character creation and options will come from the base books (PHB, Xanathar's, Tasha's, Volo's, and of course Eberron), will start at first level, with point buy and class based equipment choices. Backgrounds not included in PHB, but that ARE included in books I've not bothered to buy (Like Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide) are available, as long as they come from an official book and we can twist them into making sense for Eberron especially. (Not likely hard, even the Haunted One from Strahd works here.) I am okay with the stat swapping for races, from Tasha's, but I do not want the custom races option Tasha's offers; and I also rule no cleric of Order. Level ups will be with max hp possible for your class, and issued up til level 3- (basically getting through the intro adventure.) After that point there will be a process of party exp, which is rewarded in differing amounts depending on how you deal with an encounter/quest. Big beasty breathing down your gills, so you roleplay getting around it, trying to deal with it without a fight, etc? There will still be rewards. The enemy gets beaten down but runs? Congrats, you still win. You book it to escape a rampaging minotaur? Well, good on you, ya still learned things. Nothing is wasted time, as long as everyone has fun, and we get some good storytelling in. Final couple points; Voice via Disc. is required. Roleplayed conversations can be done via text, and often times is encouraged, but I at LEAST have to talk at you, and hearing your response makes things go much smoother. Secondly, this is a paid game; I've rent to pay. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $13 per player, per session, via Paypal, with first session being half off, at $6. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Lastly, I've a bundle of rules- pretty self explanatory sorts. Don't harass, others, yourself, or me; be respectful of everyone involved's time and energy by giving a heads up if you're gonna be late or can't make it. And don't argue with the DM (Me) as I make calls in the moment, but will do my best to adhere to MOST of RAW. I especially want to mention; if you message me interested, I will be requesting pronoun preferences, and I expect all players to abide by such requests, and I run LGBTQIA+ friendly and representative.
