trying to hide a secret door - please help

In that map I'm trying to make that secret door look like just a plain wall.  I'd like to copy the square to the left of it and paste in over the secret door so you can't see it there and it appears to be more normal wall.  How can I do that?  Can I do that?
This was a quick and dirty crop but it could work. Just import the image and put it over the secret door on either the map layer or the tokens layer (I suggest the map layer).  If you put it on the map layer and it disappears, right click the map image and select 'move to back' to make sure the main large map image isn't covering it up. Once your players find the secret door, you can either move the covering wall behind the main map image or move it onto the GM layer.

You would need to download the map and do that in an a program designed for image editing.  Then upload it again in the altered form.  On the map layer, you can select the map, hit Z to see a pop up image, and then can right click on that to download the image.  I would recommend cutting out small pieces (like a couple grid squares), uploading them and just laying them over that secret door.  Then, when/if players find it, you just select that "patch" and in the right click menu you can "Send to back" which will put it behind the map revealing the secret door.

That's what I tried to do.  Uploaded the graphic of the crop into my library but it didn't sit on the map well.  I just figured out I need to place it top left corner and then stretch the icon to "size" it was driving me batty...  thanks for the tips

Rescaling and moving images to exactly the right spot is difficult and might not give the right result on all zoom levels. I would advice to always make overlay images that are exactly aligned with the grid. If needed padded with a transparent border. Those make live so much easier.
