General Discussions and Shenanigans Thread #08:

"Zhora Is getting the +1 Dexterity missile bonus and that is all!"  & +1 Melee damage for Strength? ---------------------------------------------------- Just let me know what the ruling is. I am not going to argue
"Barbarians in general detest magic and those who use it. They will, at low levels of experience, refuse to employ any sort of magic item if they recognize it as such. They will often seek to destroy magic items, and if successful they receive an experience-point award as if they possessed the destroyed items. While magic-users will be shunned initially, and always viewed with suspicion, clerical spells of the type used by shamans and witch doctors are not so viewed, though high-level clerical spells are suspect." I love the barbarian class but I don't like playing them in a party with a magic user because if I do I am NOT going to trust or like that magic user ever. I was in a party where the party magic user went to cast a spell on me (Strength) and I dodged making the caster misfire. Barbarians aren't just fighters with mystical ability. This is Conan. Anyone who has read a Howard novel knows that Conan DESPISES sorcery. I was unapologetic.  Level 6 May associate with magic-users — if necessary!  Level 8 May associate with magic-users — occasionally;  Yeah, they REALLY hate magic.
I really do not mind, Dru :)  I don't need the sword, either.
At your level you can strike creatures requiring a +2 magical weapon with your bare hands. That's seriously awesome! So no you really don't.
I have AC 6 now and +1 to hit w/ Bow and +1 Damage to Melee, as far as I understand it.
