Hello, I am looking to join a long term TTRPG group. A bit about me: I am Jerome (he/him) and I am 33 years old, living in the EST time zone. I played TTRPGs heavily while in college about 15 years ago and have recently decided to plunge back in; roll20 and the pandemic making it so easy to run games via the internet, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I am bilingual English/French (hence the title of my post). What type of games I am looking for: I am looking to join a long term campaign that is played in the evening, weekly or bi-weekly, EST time zone on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays as I am unavailable other days of the week. A start time between 6:00PM-8:00PM EST would be ideal. Paid or free does not matter to me. As far as game, I am looking for DnD, Call of Cthulhu or any sci-fi environment. I am bilingual English/French so either language of play would be fine. I am looking for a good mix of combat/exploration/RP. Whether your campaign has started or not is of little importance as long as there are ample sessions left to play. I would even venture to say that if your campaign is still going after several sessions, that is a good sign of a stable group which is the most important thing I am looking for. If your group is playing long term, with no end in sight, another campaign already scheduled after this one ends, etc. that is a bonus. Homebrew, official campaign, etc. is fine with me; in fact my best memories of TTRPGs are from homebrew games. What type of group I am looking for: I am looking for a reliable group where everyone shows up every week; barring any incident of course, I am not immune myself to the occasional late night at work or occasional life event arising. I have a camera/good microphone so either voice or voice + video is fine with me. What I am looking for in a DM: God, this is starting to look like a dating profile... My favorite part of a game is to conjure up in my mind the environment based on what the DM describes (good ol' theater of the mind); characters, surroundings, actions... A DM that is heavy and deliberate in their descriptions is paramount to a good experience I believe. A DM that honors the rule of cool and is good at improvising is also important. In summary, the most important aspect to me would be to join a group of friends who like to have a reliable, weekly or biweekly game of TTRPGs with no end in sight.
