[LFP][GURPS][Weekly][Campaign][Low-Fantasy][FREE] Chronicles of Kandar

Hello.  I’m looking for a group of players (4-6) to take their characters through what might be the most troubled times the kingdom of Kandar has experienced at least since the Great Dying ten generations ago. Of course none of the characters have any idea of what’s brewing yet. Neither does anyone else. Or at least noone who is talking about it. Yes. Another home-brewn fantasy world. The ball is slowly beginning to roll. but a couple more players are needed, quite a few more can be handled. What I have in mind: Low/Slightly Dark/Realistic-Fantasy. Actions will probably be rather survival and investigation-oriented than charging into battle. Character development will be more focused on telling the story than building powerhouse characters, and playstyle more narrative than theatrical, not because of me having anything against theatrics but it’s not my strong suite. Game style Update: The characters will be moving around in the corridors of power, pulling for this faction, pushing against that, do not rule out daggers aimed at backs or poisoned goblets of wine. I’m in GMT+1, and plan to play around 19:00-22:00 or so Monday, Tuesday or Friday, or whenever on Saturday. If this sounds promising, and you think you can put up with me learning Roll20 PM me and we’ll get started on your character. /Fredrik
Are you planning on having a fixed time of the week for game sessions? Your post is unclear on that point, and knowing it (and if so, when session time would be) is rather pertinent.
Sorry about that. Yes, I plan to have a fixed time, but when that time is to be is pretty much up to the players. At the moment any day is as good as another for me.
Can you give an idea of what you mean with low fantasy? For instance, for some people this means no magic, or only low powered magic, or no "fantasy" races, and so forth. An idea of the attitude and state of the setting would be good! 
I'll try. By "Low Fantasy" I talk about the focus of the story. If the story explores the implications of fantastical elements it's "Low Fantasy", if fantastical elements are there mainly for the "wow"-factor it's not. The power level does not really come in to it.  However: Magic is very low powered. The common belief is that either the powerful magicians of the past died without passing their knowledge on, or that magic itself somehow have weakened. Some hold the idea that the stories of old are just that. Stories. Different races are known, but very little about them is. They are... different . And they pretty much keep to themselves. Human PC's only. The overall state of the world from the perspective of the characters is that the human lands are finally recovering from the chaos that followed when the world was depopulated by the plague known as the Great Dying. There has been plagues since then, but nothing that bad. All in all things are looking up. Not sure if this answers anything. 
The fantasy elements being mysterious and somewhat otherworldly is appealing, so that sounds good to me. I have no trouble with human characters only, either. How much of the history is there written down? Since it's a homebrew world, we cannot look things up elsewhere, so we'll depend on your own documentation for character backgrounds - and I strongly dislike working in a vacuum.
Not much. There certainly isn't a "complete guide to the history of the world" to hand out to players. For character creation I'm thinking there will need to be a fair bit of back and forth of questions and answers between me and each player until we both are satisfied with the background. One of the main reasons for this is that I'd like each character and its player to have a somewhat equal knowledge. Another is that I think it's a good way for me to get a grip on what each player wants to get out of the game. And of course there are quite a lot of blank areas on the world map, no matter what aspects of it you're looking at. So - a lot of what each character knows about the world will depend on that character, and the player will mainly know what the character knows.
