All newly uploaded PNGs appear semi-transparent when moved to TOKEN Layer (they are solid on map layer)

So as of this week any new PNG that I upload to the server is showing as semi transparent when on the token layer. If i move them to the map layer they are solid and if I move them back to the token layer they are semi transparent again...behaving as though they are on the GM layer basically... Moving the GM Layer opacity scale has no effect on this issue. If I rejoin as player, they are seeing the images without transparency but with GM view I am seeing them as semi transparent which is making it difficult to tell at a glance which tokens are on the GM layer and...it just shouldn't be acting this way... I checked GIF an JPG as well and they behave the same way. Is anyone else experiencing this or does anyone have any insight on why this may be occurring? I have tested on Firefox and Chrome. (windows 10) VTTES is installed as well but I tried removing it and no change...

Check to make sure the map image (or whatever graphic is showing through) is not on the GM layer. This arrangement would give those results.
It seems to be a feature of the new dynamic lighting settings, though not one that I recall coming up previously...
same issue here .. https://imgur.com/a/Ipvuncu
OK further testing ... Token appears to solidify when another token that 'has vision' and is within light range of the tokens https://i.imgur.com/prPeV5a.jpg this is in an empty game with me as GM only setting up for play
Yep! Would be nice if this kind of change was made clear during updates...
I hate it. This should be an option, not just thrown in without warning. This is really messing with me and I hate everything about this. Roll20 is trying really hard to make me go use another VTT and I don't want to.
