Seeking 5-6 players! To face The unforgiving cold conjured upon Icewind Dale, This Table will offer not restrictions, but rather extra features, classes, subclasses, superior and amazing customisation options. You will experience a true sense gritty realism as I will introduce you to the unforgiving mechanics of Darker Dungeons, Talent Tree and much much more ! My aim is to make you feel Isolated as the Dalefolks do, with the cold freezing wind coming through your mic and screen, while having you wearing your warmest clothing as this adventure unfold! . GAME DETAILS Please read the "[Monday, Weekly] Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden" post, thank you. Icewind Dale has become trapped in a perpetual winter. Ferocious blizzards make the mountain pass through the Spine of the World exceedingly treacherous, and this land has not felt the warmth of the sun in over two years. In fact, the sun no longer appears above the mountains, not even in what should be the height of summer. In this frozen tundra, darkness and bitter cold reign as king and queen. Most dale residents blame Auril the Frostmaiden, the god of winter's wrath. The shimmering aurora that weaves across the sky each night is said to be her doing-a potent spell that keeps the sun at bay. Dalefolk live in a scattering of settlements known as Ten-Towns. The drop-off in caravans coming from the south and travel between settlements in this never-ending winter has left everyone feeling isolated. Although each town has resolved to appease the Frostmaiden with sacrifices of one kind or another, no respite from winter's fury seems forthcoming. For adventurers such as yourselves, Ten-Towns is a place to test one's mettle and, in the spirit of heroes who have come before, leave one's mark on this frigid, blighted land. . Roll20's required payment disclaimer: "This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 per session (or $35 per month per player) via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements." Rules & Regulations 1) New players are welcome, as long as they pull their own weight (be a proactive learner basically, nothing more) 2) The material allowed is the one provided, therefore NO UA! 3) I do not allow evil characters. However, I do allow progression into evil Alignments, should the player prove to be able to RP without ruining the game for everyone else, me included. 4) Downtime will require some RP. 5) Firearms are allowed as per DM guide book and limited to renaissance once. 6) Mix of Milestone and XP. 7) NO discrimination, Rape, racism, over-sexualised characters, intoxicated people (do not play drunk or high please, it's just disruptive). Also, do not talk over each others (you will all get your moment), do not tell other players how to play their characters and DEFINITELY no meme-posting during sessions! 8) The versions of the ranger accepted, are PHB, TCE and the one provided by me. 9) Might things changed based on what the GM decides. 10) Be consistent! Although life happened, you need to commit or this has no point to begin with. 11) If your character dies, the new one will experience level loss (with faster progression). 12) Yes to multiclass 13) Point buy or rolling for abilities. However, if you live by the dice, you'll die by the dice; as one roll is all you're going to get! 14) Voice over discord 15) If any financial issue should arise, please talk to me. Fail to pay without a reason will comport the immediate and permanent exclusion from the game. 16) at the end of each session, one of the players will have to make a write-up about the events from his/her character prospective. . Why Pay to Play? Free online games are good, but there aren't nearly enough GMs to satisfy the increasing demand for one. Also, after spending a large amount of time filling out applications, you get rejected or not even a replay, due to the volume of people applying to play. During free games you'll have a higher percentage of players not showing up or unprepared, which can become frustrating and sometimes the reason why you quit, or the game dies out. Let's be honest, all we want to do is relax and have fun playing. Here are some of the reasons why paid games provide a superior experience: -Charging a per-person fee virtually eliminates player no-shows. -Ensures that everyone in the group is committed to the session. -The maturity level is exponentially higher. -Manuals (In my case all Wizard of the Coast, Eberron, Ravnica, Theros; also third party products like: Kobold Press, Grim Hollow, The Armourers Handbook companion, The Grappeler's Handbook, Book of Lost Spells, Tasha's Crucible of Everything Else Volume 1 e.t.c.) which need to be acquired separately (regardless possessing the hard copy) are provided and shared free of charges (which saves you quite a bit of money). -Roll20 Pro membership that allow players to access and enjoy all the extra feature (dynamic light, explorer mode, API, Compendium sharing etc.) for a more immersive experience. -Extra help for beginners at no charge. . About the Dungeon Master: Hi my Name is David, and I'm an Italian dude who has been living in Australia for about two decades. I've been playing D&D since 3.5, both as player and GM (which gives me an insight from each prospective). I like to make sure my players have as much freedom as possible to express their creativity through the character creation, within reason. Therefor, any class and race is accepted as long as you can justify the presence within the campaign setting. Example: what would a mushroomfolk, (yes, I do have playable vegetables for you) an Underdark dwelling creature, be doing on the surface and how would you handle the social aspect? On the other hand, I will not approve any extremes that could potentially ruin other players fun such as "But this is what my character would do" excuse, as to those players I say "Who created the character"? I like to read detail about a campaign, review the key-points and try to add backstories into the material, to maximise the significance of each character and their choices.. Furthermore, I'll be providing all the allowed content, meaning: New Races, Subraces, Subclasses, Feats, Spells, homebrew and More (if I believe it to be balanced). I tend to prefer RAF (Rules As Fun) over RAW (Rules As Written). Creativity is always appreciated and rewarded. Role-playing is encouraged, but isn't required. Although I'm quite familiar with the rules, I can make mistakes So feel free to correct me however, do not lawyer it ! as my decisions are final, for the sake of the players and the game. Beginner: If you have little or no experience playing D&D online or in general don't worry, You are encouraged to apply, and will be welcomed at my table with open arms. I can help you with your character creation (prior to the first session, upon request, at zero charge and some extra help as you progress). If you'd like to play, create a post under "players applications", with the following information: Your name: Campaign name/day/time: Game expectations: Online D&D experience: Overall D&D experience: Do you understand that the game costs $10 per player per session (or $35 per four sessions per player) via PayPal before session starts? Character Concept: such as name, class, race, and backstory, which by the way, is completely optional at this stage Note: A soon as we reach the required number of people to play, I will begin the interview process.
