I used to play a lot of D&D3.5E both as a player and as a DM but then life happened a lot and I didn't play for a long time. Now I'm looking to get back into D&D and I have (at least in hardcopy) the basic core 5E books and have been flipping through them and I just signed up for a free Roll20 account (may well upgrade that account if I can get into a regular group). I really want to get into a regular group, but scheduling is a bit of a challenge for me as I work night shift and the days I work change from week to week, which prevents me from committing to afternoon/evening games when most people play. Are there any 5E games either forming or looking for an extra player that meet regularly with a start time around 8-11am US EST (1-4pm UTC)? With my schedule that's the only window of time that I'm consistently available to start a ~3 hour session on any given day. I'm ideally looking for a game with a mix of roleplaying and combat/action as I enjoy both acting out all sorts of scenarios and situations in character and some good old fashion sword swinging and spell slinging. I'm open to just about any setting and would like to play either a cleric or warlock, with the character tweaked to fit the setting and party composition. I like to think I'm pretty easy to get along with, strongly dislike any form of discrimination or general jerk behavior, prefer to leave real world issues (especially anything remotely political) out of my gaming experience, and like gaming groups that are relaxed and fun while still staying focused on the game we're playing. If anybody out there thinks I could be a fit for your group, please either reply here or send me a private message.
