This is not an absolute, but a broad generalization of motivations of various factions within the Thechlon Empire  The elves for the most part fall into 3 distinct camps of theories upon the Empire: 1)Want to keep the status quo.  These elves feel everything is running smoothly and why fix a non-broken system?  Everyone is safe and everyone is happy 2)The Elves for too long have been held back.  The Dwarves should be punished and Oroford should be taken once again and the loss of Trapelia to fundamentalist humans is unforgivable.  The power of the elves has never been greater, and they should hold the position of High King, not a human, it is an insult that a human king was given such a title, even if it is honorific and has not true power over the elves or dwarves. 3)The return of the monarchy.   The elves have never known such grandeur or posterity as it did under the queen.   Having most of the power of the elves controlled by one individual gives the elves a guiding hand, yet firm hand.  The aristocracy should once more take control.   The High Council argues too much, and the people need a strong central government. Then among the non-elves of the empire, which are half the population:  Humans and Dwarves:  We have for too long been a part of the empire without direct representation.  Our voice should be equally heard in deciding the future of the empire Fey - The elves have always been our friends, if they do not betray our friendship, then we stand by whatever the people want.   It is not for us to decide their future or their politics. Centaurs- We stand for the peace; we stand for the strength and security of the elves.   We are the guard that stands between the horrors of the world and the safety of our people.  Our way is the way of honor, our word is our bond.  Our might come from our faith in what we do is not for us, but for the greater good of all.  We are the Legion.
