UPDATE: May opt to only add 1 additional player; bring your A game when expressing interest so that the existing party can get a small taste of the flavor you'll bring. Read more about the campaign below: If you enjoy campaign arcs that are more than just hack-and-slash, but involve a lot of collaborative storytelling and interactivity between characters and NPCs, puzzles, and the like, then you might enjoy Lockdown Breakout. Synopsis: It started out as the remnant of a band of mercenaries called Ebon Fist, imprisoned and slated for execution, making their daring escape and trying to make sense of why they were singled out so brutally, when all they were doing was guarding a merchant caravan en route to a trade city - milk run duty, it pays the bills, but no glory or glamour involved. Out of a company measured in dozens, only a handful remained. Fugitives from the law (though that has softened in subsequent game play) they still are seeking answers: Who ordered the hit on the Ebon Fist? Why was the group singled out for such brutal treatment? What will it take to re-establish the surviving members' good names and fortunes? What vengeance options exist, and who are the targets? There are also some lesser questions: What are we gonna do for cash? Where and how do we get the best gear? What is the most amusing but still plausible / practical way we can resolve the current mini-crisis? If you enjoy playful but sometimes serious role playing, and are looking for a good mix of D&D canon and brand new material, this might be something you'll enjoy. Note that if you are accepted as a potential new player, you'll be expected to attend a "Session 0" where you'll meet the party as an existing NPC, to get a sense of where the story is at, and what the group dynamic is like, before you'll create a character that's the same level as the rest of the group, and inducted in equipped with the best plot armor the DM can provide. The only restrictions on races and character classes are: the DM must either already own the required manuals / materials, or have been jonesing for an excuse to get them, in order to provide a proper reference. No murder hobos. Murder hobos will be humiliated by the DM and mocked by the current party, while being comprehensively thwarted in their ultimate goal of sowing dissent for sadistic personal pleasure. You have been warned. Evil alignments are restricted to Lawful Evil. The party has standards, and if your character doesn't at least have a code that enables some measure of compatibility, this relationship just isn't going to work. That's pretty much it. The party meets on Friday evenings, 5PM Central. Still interested? Reply back and let's chat. Thanks!
