I'm not sure if i would explain this right so i'm going to first paint a picture to help lead into my suggestion/idea. Here is a scenario: The players are in a village that looks abandoned, so the decide to explore.. cautiously. The setting: A map with 5 various sized houses and a well in the center. The visual of the houses is a top down of the roof, as anyone would see looking down at a village. The goal: As the player approaches the houses, the doors are open. The player can see inside from outside through the door. He is going to enter the building. Suggestion/Idea: As the player gains line of sight into the house, that area is reveals by the roof texture becoming transparent only in the area of the players sight/light . In essence, the black area that would normally be shown by dynamic lighting is replaced with the roof's texture while at the same time, they aren't visually blocked by the DL barrier which would hide the roof anyway. I'm sure there are work arounds for this, (put dynamic light barrier around the building except the door, but create the shape on the GM layer. Put a roof token on the Map layer above the internal house layout. as the player gets withing range, hide the roof and copy the DL shape to the DL layer.) but i'm not really interested in work arounds, just making a suggestion for future improvements.
