Link Objects and Dynamic Lighting

Is there a way to link an object to its dynamic lighting layer? The most obvious example is doors, where you have to move the door on the object/map layer when it's opened, then you have to go in the dynamic lighting layer and remove the obstruction. If you could link the door then as you moved the door on the object layer it would allow you to inch it open on the DL layer. You could also apply this to lots of other things (walls of force, a boulder blocking a corridor, etc).

I believe there is an api script that does that (change door open/close state for both graphic and lighting layer line), but you need a pro subscription for api access.
I also want to upvote this idea.  Im using a dungeon with multiple doors with sigils on them to coorespond with floor tiles and id like to not have to swap back and forth between layers to delete the light blocks.   Just an option to "Block" light actoss the surface of the icon should work correct?
