D&D 5E's Darkvision is as follows: " Within a specified range, a creature with darkvision can see in dim light as if it were bright light and in Darkness as if it were dim light, so areas of Darkness are only lightly obscured as far as that creature is concerned. However, the creature can’t discern color in darkness, only Shades of Gray ." Considering many people on Roll20 play D&D 5E, one would think the new Dynamic lighting would be able to replicate this perfectly, but it cannot. There is no way for dynamic lighting to make a character's vision black and white. There's no way for it to turn dim light into bright light (the extend light distance option works for 3E/Pathfinder style low-light vision, but not 5E Darkvision). Additionally, there should be an option for hard edged light so it is more clear what is "bright light" and what is "dim light", for those who just want the game to be clear and don't need it to be photorealistic.
