Rollable Tables and Card Decks usage suggestions

Rollable Tables and Card Decks seem like cool features of roll20, but I guess I'm at a loss of how to implement them into my campaign. I'm running a Pathfinder game but this thread does not need to PF specific. Random encounters, plot twists, treasure, critical hits, etc. How do you use Rollable Tables and Card Decks in your games? Thanks

I have a rollable table for Loathsome Trolls (where pieces of the troll have a chance to regrow when severed), and for wild magic surge effects (both the chance of surging by spell level, and the effects when a surge occurs).

Some RPGs use a currency system for narrative control. Like FATE's Fate Points or Savage Worlds 'Bennies'. An infinite card deck is great for this. Savage Worlds also uses a standard deck of playing cards to determine the initiative order as well. Rollable Tables are great for things like Tokens that need multiple graphics (like a shape-shifting Druid), randomized loot tables, and custom dice that use iconography on their faces rather than numbers (Like Star Wars: Edge of the Empire's dice).

Thanks for the thread and ideas so far. Following this subject. I have heard some of these ideas and haven't implemented yet in my own campaigns. The RPG's I play don't use cards & don't have a need for "traditional" tables to roll on, but would love to employ some of these alternative uses, such as using Rollable Tables to store monster tokens, or like Kristin suggested for shape-shifting Druid or any character who needs multiple token images. This would be a good subject for Roll20's tutorial video youtube series. Would like to see a video demo of how to use Rollable Tables for alternate purposes.

I'm currently using rollable tables to hold a bunch of different token images for my players that depicts them holding different weapons. When they want to switch weapons, they can change their token image to reflect their new weapon.

It's only their faces but it does make it so there's no confusion as to when they're wearing their helmets.

Keep'em coming. I never thought of using them to swap token images. Might be a cool technique to organize monster tokens as well...

Wow Gold/Sam, I just tried that use of the rollable tables out, that is fantastic! I can't wait to find something to do with that! =D

It's too bad a Rollable Table Token doesn't snap to the grid.
It does if you make sure to set it to not-drawing (right-click menu somewhere) before you save it.

Monkey Feathers! You're right, Phnord! Thanks!
Aaron, I use the API specifically for druid shifts. I have a druid NPC that has the affinity of the bear and when I want him to shift I have the API set the appropriate index in the table (in this case bear is the 4th token in the table), then set the property for isdrawing to false and boom.
