The human whose name is written in this notebook will die... Your life changed the moment you met it, and perhaps it ended that day as well. The Death God, Shinigami, Grim Reaper. A slip of paper was the only tool it granted you, and an explanation of the rules. Survive three months, beat everyone else and not only would you escape with your life, but with the power to kill anyone in the world, anywhere in the world... so long as you had a name and a face.  You and thirty other people have been chosen to play this sick game. The piece of paper, just enough to write a single name on it in all but the most miniscule script. Every two weeks, the Death God would have every participant in this twisted tournament partake in a challenge, a game within a game. Whoever wins these smaller games gets some kind of reward to help them survive, if the challenge doesn't kill you, of course. Only one thing is certain, a single person will survive this challenge. Even if you win, can you live with the guilt of all the others who died along the way, or at the very end? Alright, enough of that! Hullo, you can call me Dapper. I'm looking to run a short game using the Genesys RPG system created by Fantasy Flight Games, set in a universe inspired by the Anime/Manga Death Note. In this game, each player will be working together, and at times against each other, in order to survive a twisted game set up by a bored God of Death. The winner of this three month long ordeal will be granted ownership of a Death Note, a notebook which can kill with only a face and name. The only tools available to you at the beginning will be your own skills, and a single slip of paper torn out of the Death Note. If that sounds like an awesome time, then continue reading! That sounds really cool, but I don't know anything about the Genesys system? No problem. As a DM i'm very skilled in the Genesys system, having run it a couple times. If you've ever played with the systems such as Edge of the Empire, or Age of Rebellion that FFG created for Star Wars, the dice system is basically the same in every way, but the ruleset is entirely setting neutral. Most of the other players will be new or have limited experience with the system as well, and I will be available through every step of the way to help inform players on the rules and keep things flowing smoothly. We'll have a session 0 and maybe even a session -1 to help people get started. Ok, time and place? We'll be running this game on Sundays at 7pmCST.  Roll20 will obviously be our main hub for the game, and we'll be using Discord for voice during game, and text chat between sessions. If you're interested please send me a friend request or PM at DapperMage#2327. If you have any more questions about the game, I'll be happy to answer them over discord. As I like to let my players have as much input as possible while still guiding the experience, a lot of things will be dependent on what players want out of the game. Things like the size and location of the town/city that will act as the setting, the things people want to explore and expand upon in game, among other things will be discussed either on, or prior to session 0.
