Bad performance with Logitech C920 and the ingame videochat.

I have problems when using webrtc videochat on roll20. It is a bit weird but if I use firefox; I have a nice framerate but after about 20min ingame my video completely freezes up (I rarely notice it myself since I GM and don't really look at my own cam. But my players point out when my cam freezes) and I need to reconnect for it to work again, rinse and repeat. Alternatively, when I use chrome, it doesn't freeze, however, my framerate is garbage! Maybe 15fps or so. I found some threads with simular problems from 3yrs ago but no real solution. I figured the c920 is a popular webcam, anyone else with similar problems and maybe a solution?

I have a Logitech HD Pro c920, and the Roll20 video chat works well for me. I know that does not really help you, but the problem might be elsewhere. You might want to run the webRTC troubleshooter and see if any glaring errors pop up. https://test.webrtc.org/
Roll20's webRTC is notoriously tricky. The various browsers other player's are using can cause problems for you, among other things. If you can find someone to help you, I'd suggest troubleshooting with just one other player at a time. See if it still locks up after 20 minutes or not.
I recently had to roll back an update for Logi Capture. That update stopped the program from working with Roll20, but installing an older version restored functionality. The problem is at Logitech's end, not Roll20.
It all works fine when testing with webrtc, that's the weird part. It's only in roll20 it is iffy.

Even with logcapture my issues still stand for some reason, I have not tried if it freezes when using firefox but my framerate differs a lot in chrome compared to my logicapture video.
There are a couple of different versions of the c920 out there, so I may not have the same camera. But I run my camera through Logi Capture for all video conferencing and I had to roll back the last update I installed because it killed Roll20 and OBS.

I use the C920S with no issues. I haven't even heard of Logi Capture, though.

FWIW, I do remember that when video chat first came out, there were issues with the C920, but I haven't heard a specific issue reported for years.
