I’ve been playing Tabletop RPGs for a few decades now. My tastes in RPGs tend to be pretty unusual; I heavily lean toward simulationist, but I also enjoy detailed representational systems; I tend to avoid purely cinematic games with no grounding in reality, but I have a soft spot for Exalted and Star Wars.
My preferences for games by genre, in order, are...
Fantasy/Dungeon Fantasy: Earthdawn, GURPS, Pathfinder
Pulp Fantasy: Exalted
Soft Science Fiction: Star Wars
Hard Science Fiction: GURPS, Traveller (Hard SF Games Only)
I would like to give Jovian Chronicles an extended play, and see how well it works out as a Hard Science Fiction game.
I am also interested in trying “The Riddle of Steel”, “Blade of the Iron Throne”, “Song of Swords”, “Band of Bastards”, and related games.
I can be very opinionated, such as my insistence that D&D4E is actually a very good system whose only real flaw is being branded as a system for playing D&D (to which end it clearly does fail very badly); it would have been put to much better use being branded as something else, and probably a completely new IP of some kind (or maybe as a new D&D Basic Edition, better suited for new players only).
I also frequently chastise the Roll20 devs for a number of design and engineering failures. I mostly don’t submit bug reports anymore, because it has been made clear that they simply can’t tell what constitutes a bug and what doesn’t; but I am particularly proud of my contributions to the suggestions forum. I would greatly appreciate your support of the following:

Finally, I tend to insist on fact-based arguments over the course of a disagreement; if you are unprepared to deliver those facts, then don’t bother trying to defend your case; you’ll just cause an uproar. Also, do not take my insistence that you are wrong personally; good people are often wrong.
