EPIC ADVENTURE (Levels 1 - unlimited) Political intrigue, Dungeon crawling, Find love, Lead armies, Build your own empire, Start a family, Be a legend, Save Swordcoast Played TWICE a week at (days to be determined by players) Games last 3 hours Looking for players that are only in this campaign (sometimes we try to play 3 times a week if everyone else can) 20 $ PER SESSION Hi, I'm attentive/creative/respectful/helpful/on time/reliable/enthusiastic/laid back/fun/hard working I've been playing for 40+ years I spend a lot of hours every day on writing/making maps/building worlds/ect I almost never cancel sessions( a family surprise event )/never flake/never late/never play in a bad mood I spent (and continue to spend) a lot of money on roll20 add-ons/maps/tokens/map patreons/ect My GM style is&nbsp; FAST &nbsp;with a mix of RP and combat (60/40) I perform many different voices (accents/tone/pitch/volume/ect) to give each of the&nbsp; thousands &nbsp;of NPC's a uniqueness.&nbsp; (or try) I use sound effects for monsters/people/instruments/ect and ambient backgrounds unique to locations RULES &nbsp;are a mix of&nbsp; 5E, past editions, &nbsp;and&nbsp; homebrew HIGH CHANCE OF DEATH &nbsp;(especially early on) (so be extra careful, be afraid, stay together, and have party combat tactics worked out please) This is a&nbsp; "grittier" game &nbsp;- thus&nbsp; leveling will be slower &nbsp;-&nbsp; "enjoy the struggle of each level" Leveling can only be done at a city/town/druid encampment/temple/wandering trainer Gaining a level is based off of accomplishments&nbsp; not XP Use the average HP gain for leveling up (or roll) Use&nbsp; critical hit/fail charts &nbsp;for melee/range/spells INITIATIVE &nbsp;is handled automatically (speeds up the game tremendously) [Adds your bonuses thru macros Roll20 Coding] Rolling a&nbsp; 1 &nbsp;is&nbsp; ALWAYS A FAILURE&nbsp; (including the halfling ability) Rolling a&nbsp; 20 &nbsp;is&nbsp; ALWAYS A SUCCESS DEATH SAVES &nbsp;are&nbsp; "whispered" DC to&nbsp; stabilize is 13 INSIGHT CHECKS &nbsp;are " whispered " Certain&nbsp; curses, poisons, spells, diseases, disorders, ect ...HAVE LEVELS (which can be learned and taught once witnessed and researched)&nbsp; "Remove curse doesn't remove a 1,000 year old ancient unknown magical curse...but it gives clues" Changed certain spells/abilities POSITIVE/UPBEAT PLAYERS ONLY "Stay in character as much as possible please" You&nbsp; WILL BE CHALLENGED &nbsp;in combat (so expect a hard fight) You are&nbsp; NOT HEROES YET ...You are&nbsp; vulnerable ...having to rely on your&nbsp; wits ,&nbsp; ingenuity, and working together MONSTERS ARE NOT SCALED TO FIT YOUR LEVEL ...you will encounter things far deadlier than you -&nbsp; 1 SHOT MATURE ADULT THEMES LOOKING FOR&nbsp; COLLABORATOR PLAYERS &nbsp; &nbsp;NOT&nbsp; CONSUMER PLAYERS COLLABORATOR PLAYERS &nbsp;are that rare wonderful player that really gets into their character, they do an accent, draws a crest with their family tree, thinks and talks about the game when not playing, and wants to work to create a truly sublime gaming experience. Consumer Players just want something to do in their spare time, when not playing it's&nbsp; "out of sight out of mind" , during the game they want fewer challenges and don't want to&nbsp; "think too hard" . Use spell components &nbsp;(which you have to buy and have in your inventory and&nbsp; PLEASE RP &nbsp;announce during casting) Use (homebrew) flanking &nbsp;"attack from behind without being seen" gets advantage (for baddies too) No PVP &nbsp;(unless under an enemies spell) Track (magic only) ammo When using&nbsp; INVESTIGATION &nbsp;(roll once for an entire map/level/floor in a dungeon/castle/cave/ect) for traps/secret doors) Being&nbsp; revivified, raised from the dead, or&nbsp;resurrected ...the player then rolls on a madness chart (short/medium/long term - table roll) CREATING THE FEAR IN THE DARK "Do you want to be truly scared in the dark?&nbsp; Not able to see past your (held) light source?" LIGHT SPELLS ONLY FOR OPPOSING DARKNESS SPELLS &nbsp;- please (no Dancing Lights/Light spells cast on objects then thrown continuously/Mage Hand spell holding torches ahead/ect) &nbsp;- "for the fear effect" Please no continuously&nbsp; THROWING TORCHES NO DARK-VISION &nbsp;or&nbsp; BLIND-SIGHT &nbsp;(use your top stat bonus modifier for additional skills instead) "Only creatures (not spells) that spend their everyday lives in total darkness have darkvision" Track encumbrance (can't exceed your max) Conjuration Limit &nbsp;- All creatures and players can&nbsp; only summon 1 creature at a time &nbsp;(to speed up combat) Using a potion is a bonus action (giving it to someone else is an action) Only a spell that has an ongoing duration can be dispelled &nbsp;(example DAWN spell cast from an EVO wizard after the initial casting round, cannot protect party members from the damage) HARVESTING CREATURE REMAINS &nbsp;- used for creating potions/poisons, enchanting items, ect - just&nbsp; add it to your equipment &nbsp;and&nbsp; learn recipes &nbsp;from books/treasure/apothecary&nbsp;store/ect, then using an herbalist kit or alchemist kit ( proficiency with these kits&nbsp;are required ), make a DC check based on the type (full chart listed in an apothecary store/traveling merchant/library's) THE JOURNEY HAPPENS ON A SHIP/HORSE/CARRIAGE/WALK Please no &nbsp; planar traveling spells&nbsp; &nbsp;/ &nbsp;no&nbsp; magic long distance traveling spells / no&nbsp; magic long distance communication spells (no sending...ect) NO META-GAMERS / MIN-MAXERS / NO MURDER HOBO'S Please always be&nbsp; ON TIME &nbsp;and&nbsp; RELIABLE &nbsp;on game days&nbsp; Please&nbsp; Take notes &nbsp;during the game Please&nbsp;ask&nbsp; NPC's &nbsp;these&nbsp; 6 QUESTIONS &nbsp;-&nbsp; "Who? What? When? Why? Where? How?"
