Ok has everyone read the Midgard Hero's book? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BsC-HRTGjWBnEMec62qfyN6CvYc7yG2M/view?usp=sharing They have weapon options that are amazing [pg 46] Trev you use a Warhammer right? Look at this ability you can use if your proficient in it Sundering Strike . As an attack, make an attack roll with your warhammer against a creature wielding a weapon, including natural weapons. If the attack hits, the weapon is damaged, and all attacks made with this weapon have disadvantage. Another sundering strike destroys the weapon. This attack has no effect on magical weapons unless your warhammer is also magical. Hunter look what long and short bows get! You double your sneak attack when you crit right? Trick Shot . As an action, make a single stylish bow attack with disadvantage. If the lower roll would also hit the target, you automatically score a critical hit.

ok so my understanding is you get these weapon options automatically just for wielding that particular weapon, and you don't need a feat to use them, correct?
yup
Might come in handy when confronted by the enemy and I need stay alive longer.
Rapiers have a nice parry ability: Lock Blades . When a creature attacks you with a weapon, you may use your reaction to make an attack roll with your rapier. If the result of this roll equals or exceeds their attack roll, their attack misses.
Great game last night guys, Mal Rob tried to kill you. You dropped like 2 times! Stan and Ron yall are the striking tag team of doom!!! Trev you saved the day with those heals my man.
*Gasp* Robert..... You tried to kill Eisen
Eisen is a tough ol' coot.
That he sure is XD
Those crit shots saved us more times than I can counted. Awesome work.
Hey guys, I've decided out of the graciousness of my Dungeon Master heart that, because I won't be able to play next Wednesday, I will grant you all a +50 XP bonus to your current XP totals. This is so that you guys can level up over the next two weeks. It'll give you something to do between our game sessions to keep you engaged with the campaign. Let's just say the reward is for your party members discovering the location of the hidden sanctum... All Best, Rob
Cool, thanks Rob.
WooHoo!!
Thank you, Rob!

Hey guys, now that we have defeated the keep and found the stash, what do we want to do? Wick wants to hunt down that cleric guy. Kill that troll? Another thought I had was there are prosthetics in Xanathar's, we could get one for the town guard captain? There is that Wizard Tower.
Just a reminder that game is tonight at 9:00 PM EST (about 8 hours and 50 minutes from now). Hope you all leveled up your character! All Best, Rob
All ready to go.

Couple things: 1. Stan, I have credited you 75 gp for the starting chainmail you had. You now have 85 gp (and chainmail was removed). Also, I gave you a new secret background. You can find it beside your character sheet. Finally, I gave you inspiration on your sheet and I gave you access to King Adoz, your lord and liege, under the "5. Gazetteer of the Lost Lands" folder and the "Lost Lands - NPC's" and "Abad Durahai" subfolders. 2. Mal, you have access to Eralion's Journal. It is under "4. Party Handouts" and "Books & Scrolls & Signs." 3. For XP totals, your sheets report that Beau has 4,315 XP , while everyone else's says 4,339 XP . But that doesn't match my records. Here's the breakdown of what I have: Session 1 & 2 : You each earn 769 XP. Session 3 : You each earn 610 XP. Session 4 & 5 : You each earn 445 XP. Session 6 : You each earn 410 XP. Beau earns +176 XP from training. Eisen earns +200 XP from training. Wick earns +200 XP from training. Session 7 & 8 : You each earn 1,285 XP. Session 9 : You each earn 280 XP. Session 10 : You each earn 290 XP. Current Party Total : Each player has a base of 4,089 XP. Byron has 4,265 XP. Mal and Stan each have 4,289 XP. Can someone tell me what I'm missing? (Or confirm that my total is right?) All Best, Rob P.S. Great session last night! It was supposed to be a horror scenario...and I felt that it was a success. Lol.
You forgot to carry the one over the zero 4,089+290=4,379
Hi Ron, I'm still not following your calculations. I have the following totals for each of you: 4,089 XP (Ron and Blueberry) 4,265 XP (Byron) 4,289 XP (Mal and Stan) But according to your math, you guys are showing: 4,315 (Byron) 4,339 (Everyone Else) I used a calculator to add up every session's XP rewards. They are all there in that list I gave above. When you add them up using a calculator, you get a base of 4,089 XP. Byron, Mal, and Stan spent gold on training during downtime, which is why they have more XP than you and Blueberry. Does that make sense? I think your XP totals are wrong, guys.
Hmmm. 4289 seems right.....well I'm fine with editting my xp it a difference of 50 xp for me, I'll make the change
Ah! That's it! I forgot to add the bonus 50 XP that I handed out to make sure you all leveled up to 4th. Now I remember. Thank you, Mal.
Robs Math checks out with the numbers given.
even better Maleith
So, new totals: 4,139 XP (Ron and Blueberry) 4,315 XP (Byron) 4,339 XP (Mal and Stan)
Huzzah
Week downtime? I wanna go pray at my shrine before we go fight this thing.
Hi Byron, You did not direct the question at me, so I assumed you were asking the rest of the party what they would like to do. However, because our next game session is tomorrow night (about 24 hours away), I would say we have already passed the point of no return for downtime actions this week. Your party needs to get these kinds of decisions in to me before the weekend to give me time to respond. All Best, Rob
Hi Guys, So I just realized that this upcoming Wednesday I will be traveling for work. I can still make the game, but I might be 20 - 30 minutes late to it. As long as everybody is okay with that, game on! And for the rest of the month I will not be traveling on a Wednesday so it will not be an issue. All Best, Rob
That is fine by me
I am fine!
All good, dude. Stay safe!
It' all good
All good.
Hey guys, bad news: the flight info for landing is actually central standard time, which means it’s actually an hour later than I had originally thought. (Instead of landing just before 9:00 PM EST, like I thought, which is close to our starting time, I'm actually landing at nearly 10:00 PM, an hour later.) So, I won’t be available until at least 90 minutes after our game's normal start time. I've just decided to cancel game this week, but I am free every Wednesday after that. All Best, Rob
ok
No disassemble! We can do at least one combat!!
not a bad idea Byron, all we need to do this Wednesday is finish the combat encounter. I vote lets play when you get in Wednesday Rob, if your up to it.
Sounds good to me.
Either way is fine by me
Session 11 : Your XP was deferred to next session. Session 12 : You each earn 580 XP. Current Party Total : New XP TOTALS!!! Ron and Blueberry each have 4,719 XP. Byron has 4,895 XP. Mal and Stan each have 4,919 XP.
So how much downtime does each need, I'm going to focus on research first and then info gathering so I'd require minimum one week
I could use a bunch. I wanna work at my temple for a week. Sounds like both Darwinn and Hunter want me to find them a magic item. I wanna get something myself something, so three weeks. I have some research to do as well. That's a week, maybe two. So six weeks.

Ok folks, I say we take 3 weeks here and go back to Fairhill to kill the undead. That way not to much time passes. I say we all chip in and I can get an elemental gem , it summons a powerful elemental and I think it could kill the undead by itself. To get the gem will cost 100gp and then D6x50gp. After we kill the undead, we can come back to Bard's Gate and I can research how to make these gems for each of us to have one. Also does anyone need healing potions? I can make them for half cost. Pay me 25gp and I need 1 day per.
3 weeks seem good. Elementals yes as for potion I don't need one, I hopefully won't be in line of fire much
That works. If we have time, Trev would want to search for information for the artifact he's looking for.
We have no more direct quests, though we do want to save Fairhill. Do we wish to split the cost evenly for the gem?
Waiting on Stan (Dwarinn) and Ron (Hunter) for input... but as it stands, there are a majority of players (3 out of 5 total) agreeing with the desire to take three weeks of downtime. Because of this, I will say, "It shall be so!" Your party will be taking three weeks of downtime. Please post your actions in the Downtime forum. I need them by Sunday night, so that I have time to respond to them. To speed things up, please include your skill check results in your post. (If I decide that certain rolls should be made by me instead of you, I will say so when I respond and nullify your result after the fact in my reply.) All Best, Rob
3 weeks is good for me
