I was recently playing in my group. There was a grid with certain squares that were safe and others that triggered a trap as an animal ran across the room. One player wanted to mark the map to indicate which squares triggered the traps without letting anyone else see his marks. This would prevent metagaming by the other contestants trying to cross the board. I suggest that there be a symbol that could be used by a player on the map that only they can see.
