The news from the city of Halerun is grim. No one had heard from the town in weeks, so scouting parties were sent out to see what had happened. They never actually made it to the city. About 3 miles out they found this forest. They said it was thick&nbsp; and dark, and had consumed the road. At least they were smart enough to turn around instead of going in. Bad things tend to happen when you enter mysterious dark forests that pop up suddenly and cut off contact with an entire city. This is of course, where you come in. An entire city went missing and the wilds that swallowed it up are oozing with dark energies. This calls to you, either spiritually, morally, or through greed. There's a city that's lost out there, with people in need, or people who can't make use of what possessions they had anymore. So you venture in, towards Halerun, for whatever reason appeals to you. A Blight on this Land is a story about a lost city, an evil forest, and the forces surrounding such an occurrence. Players will have opportunity to explore a hostile environment, meet other adventurers on their own quests, loot or help the remains of the city, and fight off the evil entities that have caused this nightmare. This game uses the Five Torches Deep system, a system meant to ease 5e players into the style and mindset of Old School Renaissance (Revival if you prefer) games.
