I've been doing this for a while and, most of the time, I can find a method of extracting a map from a PDF to use on Roll20. However, I've encountered a problem with two maps from a particular PDF - every attempt to copy the map seems to scrunch the map up to a smaller size that makes it unusable. So, my "usual" process is to select the image in the PDF, hit CTRL-C and then use either Preview (on the Mac) or Gimp and create a new image from the clipboard. This has worked in the past. When CTRL-C doesn't work, I can take a screenshot. But, for these two maps, they are too big for screenshots, and the CTRL-C method takes the map which is roughly 6x9inches and scrunches it down to about 4x.6. I don't know why. But it's unusable in that size, and doesn't stretch out well. Is there a better method of extracting maps from PDFs? Now that Roll20 allows people to upload PDFs, I was hoping I could just move the page from the uploaded PDF onto the mapping area but that doesn't work. Any ideas? Thx.
