Add the ability to pop out the map selection menu into its own window and also allow sorting of maps within the menu.

The current map selection window is fairly clunky to use and does not have a way to easily sort the entries. Being able to pop it out in its own resizable window would help. Having it act like a (windows/mac/linux) file folder/directory with sort and display options would be even better.
