Print/export to PDF DnD 2024 Character Sheets needs priority!!!

Score + 72
Please. Really need this for a campaign.
Hi, devs. This may be an 'unsubscribe' level problem for a six-year veteran of your site. Please address within the next two weeks at the latest.
+1  to this request. The ability to print a sheet to pdf needs to have more priority, at the very least we should be seeing it as a planned feature. As a web developer, it seems very obvious to me that you are implementing software in the sheets that actively makes it harder to take a screenshot or print the page to pdf using the browser native features, no wonder it is taking so long for you to finish the export to pdf functionallity. I literally began my subscription when the roadmap that promised it for winter last year was published, and I have been waiting ever since. In the meanwhile, other features that are not as important are being shipped every month. I am convinced this is taking so long because it has been traded off for the developing time neccesary to make the sheets so difficult to screenshot and print, which is a really bad practice, you are focusing on preventing misuse instead of atttending the actual neccesities of the users that actually pay for the software and support the development.  It is very clear that something fishy is going on because this is, clearly and by far, the most requested feature, yet always seems to be pushed behind a least important one. A feature that I can judge as a proffesional of the sector much easier to accomplish than other mcuh more challenging features that have been added. Damn it, i tried to make this functionality by myslef by injecting javascript in the page and i got really really close, could have had it done in an afternoon if it wasn't for the many boulders you put on the way of users managing their own sheets. I am saving all the money I would have otherwise spent on content for roll20 until this is done. If it's not done by summer I will cancel my subscription and spend that money in the competing site.
Into march and this STILL isn't an option? Can we please bump this up in the priority list?
Friends at Roll20 - after discovering this problem in December, I ended up needing to have a way to share them digitally. I ended up having to remake all those characters at DNDBeyond, both for the ability to make a PDF, or even to share the sheet to someone digitally in any form. I was also given the advice to homebrew the 2024 characters into the 2014 sheet, to make a PDF. It makes me seriously wonder where I should purchase content in the future.  Even if the output is ugly, getting any PDF version at all is really valuable.
Hey there. Just another +1. It is a real bummer, especially as i dont see why this feature is taking so long to impliment. Love 95% of all roll20 features so far, most of the downsides are the thins my party and i have learned to manage with, but ffs i realy needed to print out their character sheets, was realy frustrated that i ahd to do it all manualy and that it is not even clear when will this feature be added. smh
It wouldnt be needed as badly but since character sheets crash or simply dont load at all, it would be nice to have a PDF backup...
Or at the very least remove the restriction of using 2024 phb on the 2014 character sheet that can be saved as a pdf. They already did this with the heroes of faerun book and whether or not that was on purpose or accident it proves it can be done.
Are you saying that everything in the new Heroes of Faerun compendiums is drag-and-drop compatible with the D&amp;D 5e 2014 character sheet? There has been at least one forum thread that says it very much is not:&nbsp;<a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12622926/heroes-of-faerun-not-compatible-with-older-sheets" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12622926/heroes-of-faerun-not-compatible-with-older-sheets</a> NDawminus said: Or at the very least remove the restriction of using 2024 phb on the 2014 character sheet that can be saved as a pdf. They care more about monetizing the books you already own instead of making the website better.
there's a French site I found that has printable character builders for 2012 (fairly full-featured, at least with xen and tasha) and 2024 (at least the phb)
Please just give us this functionality. I can't believe this is even a question of a feature to add.
Bumping this thread!
I can't believe I spent money expecting that unprintable character sheets is what I wanted.&nbsp; Exactly how do you expect people who are NOT logged into a computer to make use of the most fundamental piece of the game. I should have spent my money elsewhere.&nbsp; I truly regret paying for content that is not available.&nbsp; It is deceptive and it is theft.&nbsp; If you can't print it, don't claim you have it.&nbsp; And refund my money. Pen &amp; paper still works.

To me that's an odd expectation. Roll20 is a Virtual Table Top. It's designed for online play; it even says "For D&amp;D Online" right on the roll20.net page. When I joined I never expected to be able to easily (let alone natively) produce hardcopy of anything that I got here. It might not even be legally permissible or within the bounds of their contracts to be able to do such things.
Booh, wrong! Totally reasonable expectation. Even in a Virtual Table Top game, you should be easily able to share your character sheet as PDF. It is a joke that this is not a functionality
There once WAS a Thread OFFICIALLY FROM ROLL20 TEAM stating that they want to ADD THE PRINT FUNCTION to ALL SHEETS BY ROLL20... Since then it was ONLY ADDED to the DnD 2014 Sheet although there are A LOT MORE Character Sheets "By Roll20"... And with that in mind I see where Carrel K is coming from! However once that was Closed (again officially by Roll20) it was stated that THIS FORUM should be used for Requests of certain character Sheets to add this to... Since then, NOTHING has happened... and this was YEARS ago...

Because there's no way to share or back up the character sheet without a PDF option, it's really a big problem not to have it. If I want to propose a character to someone before I'm in a game with them, I have no way to do this using the new sheet. If I want to capture their stats and inventory regularly so I can catch my mistakes, I can't do that easily either. Even playing exclusively online, the PDF has substantial value, and because of the way the sheet is designed, you can't even reasonably substitute with screen shots. For those of you waiting with me for this feature, they did talk about it a bit in&nbsp; this Reddit thread . Why they can't post some update/explanation In Their Own Forum, on this very long thread, well I don't know.
Alright — here’s your statement with that added, still angry but clean enough that people will actually take it seriously: Honestly, for me it’s crystal clear at this point: either they’re not allowed to bring this feature back, or they simply don’t want to. There’s no way this is a technical issue anymore especially for such a long time... From where I’m standing, it feels like they’re straight up ignoring or even trolling Roll20 users. So what’s really going on? Why isn’t this getting any priority? The only explanation that actually makes sense is this: Beyond already has the feature, and suddenly priorities shifts at roll20. Same System, same interests — and conveniently Roll20 gets left behind. At this point, it honestly feels like someone higher up is saying: “No, don’t push this. We want people on our platform.” And let’s be real — every other explanation just sounds ridiculous. I’ve invested a lot of money into this platform, bought multiple books, supported it for years… and this is what we get? If this is how things are going to be handled, then I’m done. I’ll delete my account at the end of the year. Right now, Roll20 just feels way behind other VTTs, and I honestly don’t get why.

If it's legally not possible why the hell are they having this on the roadmap several times... and WHY can we export the 5e 2014 charsheets?&nbsp; I am sorry but Your comment just makes no sense...&nbsp;
Really need to be able to print my sheets to PDF...
Hi everyone! Patrice, Senior Product Manager on the Sheets Team at Roll20.&nbsp; First, we appreciate everyone sharing their feedback and frustrations with us. Thank you for taking the time to express your experiences with us, it really does help us understand your GM and/or player journey as we continue to implement features and enhance the experience.&nbsp; This update has been a long time coming (frankly too long), but I'm here to share that this feature is now in active development! I hear all the frustration in the thread, and we're sorry it's taken us this long to get to it. There were (and still are) so many features we want to build out for this sheet and prioritizing them all is definitely an art not a science. I don't have a date for when this will be released just yet, but rest assured it's coming soon. One of the ways to follow what the team is actively working on / in discussion&nbsp; is in our public roadmap . This is a living view that is updated as much as possible, and has views for all our different platforms.&nbsp; Please continue to give feedback to us as we work through our roadmap. It helps us shape the future with you and we greatly appreciate it!
This is fantastic news, Patrice, thank you so much! Deeply appreciate the update.
They share on Reddit but not here so:&nbsp; <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Roll20/comments/1tb90kz/soon/" rel="nofollow">https://www.reddit.com/r/Roll20/comments/1tb90kz/soon/</a> (Proof of life of a 2024 sheet coming off of a physical printer!)
