Description Pyres of Nocturnus is a horror campaign that takes place on the homebrewed world of Aquaria. The planet was once mostly water (hence the name) but suffered a catastrophic magical event thousands of years ago. The event caused the planet to become tidal-locked with its sun: one side always faces the sun, the other is always dark. The result? Temperatures plummeted on the dark side (Nocturnus) and drastically increased on the bright side (Aurora). Between the two is an area stuck in perpetual twilight. Magical barriers exist between the realms. The campaign takes place on the dark side, a frozen wasteland filled with undead and monsters of the night. The overall goal is survival, with a chance to bring down the closest barrier. This means...killing some horrific creatures. THE TWIST: The player characters began in our real world, in Sidney Australia, and their flight encountered a magical storm which forced them through a portal, where the crashed in Nocturnus (the dark side). Think 'Alive' blended with 'LOST' in a dark world of magic. The Story Thus Far: The plane has crashed. The character and some passengers survived. They salvaged everything the could from the remains of the plane, the set out to find their way to civilization. They have thus far been attacked by zombies (including zombie versions of the characters from the 1980s D&D cartoon), and a polar bear. They were caught in and avalanche, which killed several NPC Passengers the group gets a reward for any NPC Passengers still alive when the reach civilization). Having started at level 0, they had to make their way to the first city in order to level up. It took them 9 sessions, but they finally leveled up this week.
i'm down to join if your still looking for players, but do we need to show our face? cause i dont have a camera?
