Default Attributes for token bars when new token created

Is there a way to set the default attribute assigned to a token bar?    Example:   I always assign Bar 1 to HP, Bar to Speed, and Bar 3 to AC.   However I have to reassign them to these settings every time I create a token. Google shows me where to go for the see/edit settings and tells me the settings for what I want to do are there, but I see no such option. Thanks in advance.

Yes, in the game settings, same place you configure the character sheet and compendiums, there are default page and token settings. If you update those, it should fix any new tokens you create.

If you're talking about dragging out a token associated with a character, you need to be sure you are setting the default token when you edit it to be how you want it. That's in the token properties.
That is where I am looking, and I see a place to make it hard numbers, but no place to say  Bar 1 is always HP

Oh.  Hmm.  I guess link is not part of the defaults, sorry about that.  That make sense seeing as new graphics would not be linked to a graphic, and so you wouldn't know what attributes it could have access to.   There are API scripts that could help with that.  I've commonly used a TokenMod command to configure graphics for NPCs and PCs, including setting the represents, bar links, permissions, default token, etc.

There are two places where those values can be set. One only allows the setting of static numbers while the other allows setting values and links. This is the part you see when you go into game settings then scroll all the way to the bottom: Note: it's not a good idea to set the link for hp as the default. Do that manually and only for player characters or special NPCs. Otherwise, when you put multiple copies of an NPC on the map, if you edit the hp for one token it will alter all copies of that token.

Is this *not* what you're looking for: That is on the Game Settings page, and will work for Compendium drags. For tokens you drag out of your art library (or from a rollable table), Aaron's suggestion of TokenMod is your ticket.
Timmaugh   That is exactly what I am looking for but I can't seem to find it.
Thia is what I see under game default settings
If I understand correctly you are trying to set up HPs and AC for a new player character. These steps can be followed to also set up other things like auras, vision, and light emission (torch, lantern. etc.)  In game drag the token for the new player onto the desktop Open the token and on the Details Tab select the Attribute you wish to be the HPs Open the dropdown and select hp Select the Attribute you wish the AC to represent  Open the dropdown and select ac Make any other changes you wish the player character to have Click on the Update Default Token button

The page that DND DM showed is also under Game Settings outside the game - just in a different place within that page . DND DM is not the first person that's gotten confused by this. Having default token settings in two different places is a poor design choice probably resulting from the way the Game Settings page has evolved over time. Ha yep you’re right. I looked too quickly and thought it was the Page settings tab from in game.
I scroll down past Game Default Setting and there is "Content Sharing" then "Character Sheet Template" which is set to "D&D Fifth Edition (5E & 5.5E)" after that there is nothing except the "Save Changes" button and then a bunch of logo and copyright crap.    I used "TokenMod" with a script to get by retyping crap. so I am done with the module for Shadows of Sithicus now, so I guess I no longer need assistance with that.  I have a new issue, but I will try to research deeper than I have so far before creating a new post for it. Thank you everyone for your help
That is very strange. This is what I see when I scroll past the "Character Sheet Template" section (it's zoomed out to show the entire page all the way down to the "bunch of logos and copyright crap":

Hi Rick A.,  The reason you see a different presentation is that "player" is using the D&D 5e 2024 (aka: D&D Fifth Edition (5E & 5.5E)) sheet. It doesn't have the same settings as the 2014 sheet (aka: D&D 5e (Classic)).
Thanks
I sit corrected! (LOL). For some reason I thought the token bar settings were system agnostic; that they could be set to use any variables available to whichever character sheet is in use.
