How do I turn off the token markers now supplied by the D&D Fifth Edition character sheet?

So ever since it was supported by Roll20, I have used a custom token marker set for my D&D games because there were markers I liked better than what came with the Default Marker Set. These tokens all are conveniently named what they stand for, e.g., the token marker for being restrained is called "Restrained". I have a simple status macro using token-mod that applies the markers to the tokens. Recently (?), a new subset of token markers showed up for those using the "2024" character sheet. When I click on a token's radial menu, there's a little drop-down arrow at the top, under the color dots but above the loaded custom token marker set. When I click on the arrow, it shows a couple rows of new token markers, and a help hover that says: These token markers are supplied by the D&D Fifth Edition (5E & 5.5E) character sheet. Nifty, always nice to get new things, right? I don't recall that feature being announced, but I might easily have missed it. Problem is: I don't particularly care for the look of these token markers; I still prefer my custom set. That's an aesthetic thing, but that's kind of the point of having custom token markers, right? These new supplied token markers override my markers if they have the same name. That's the real issue here. For example, my "Restrained" marker is a pair of shackles. The newly supplied one are a pair of handcuffed arms. I prefer mine, but I've not been given that choice. If my macro says apply the "Restrained" token marker, it applies the the newly supplied one with that name, not my custom one with that name. A simple answer would be for me to rename my markers (and modify the macro I have that assigns them to use the new names). But that's frankly kind of irksome, since (a) it requires a token (ha!) effort, (b) the names will not actually be the names of the conditions they represent, and (c) it was a new feature that broke something that was working just fine for me. Instead, is there a way to just turn off the generously-supplied character sheet token markers?

I thought that feature was rolled back over a year ago. I use the 2024 and 2014 sheets; I'll look into this later tonight when I get the chance (your preferred token set sounds like the one I designed, which is what I use). Or if you want an official answer and assistance, the best route is a Help Center Request .

Hey Dave! OK. It appears that it was sort of rolled back, or possibly sort of unrolled back. About a year and a half ago, they tried out a feature that would auto-apply token markers to a token if the condition was applied on the sheet. That caused some severe performance problems, so it was rolled back. As part of this feature, sheet-induced token markers were the same as regular token markers, but they had "sheet-" before the name. Thus "deafened" was called "sheet-deafened". This kept the feature from colliding with custom marker names. If a user wanted that (discontinued) sheet-token synergy, they could rename their custom markers. You can do this by editing the set from your home page. Select a marker and then add "sheet-" to the name. This has a couple of benefits: 1) if the feature is ever re-instated, your campaign will be ready to go, using your renamed markers to match the sheet-selected conditions. 2) It places all the standard conditions at the top of the list. Alternatively (and this sounds like what you would prefer), if you don't want to mess with the sheet markers at all, you can toggle them off here. They will disappear from the list, leaving only your custom set displayed:

I've got an updated version of TokenMod that addresses this. Here's a post about it: https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/12812838/ You should get it from the 1-click on Tuesday, but if you want to grab it early, it's there for you!
