So ever since it was supported by Roll20, I have used a custom token marker set for my D&D games because there were markers I liked better than what came with the Default Marker Set. These tokens all are conveniently named what they stand for, e.g., the token marker for being restrained is called "Restrained". I have a simple status macro using token-mod that applies the markers to the tokens. Recently (?), a new subset of token markers showed up for those using the "2024" character sheet. When I click on a token's radial menu, there's a little drop-down arrow at the top, under the color dots but above the loaded custom token marker set. When I click on the arrow, it shows a couple rows of new token markers, and a help hover that says: These token markers are supplied by the D&D Fifth Edition (5E & 5.5E) character sheet. Nifty, always nice to get new things, right? I don't recall that feature being announced, but I might easily have missed it. Problem is: I don't particularly care for the look of these token markers; I still prefer my custom set. That's an aesthetic thing, but that's kind of the point of having custom token markers, right? These new supplied token markers override my markers if they have the same name. That's the real issue here. For example, my "Restrained" marker is a pair of shackles. The newly supplied one are a pair of handcuffed arms. I prefer mine, but I've not been given that choice. If my macro says apply the "Restrained" token marker, it applies the the newly supplied one with that name, not my custom one with that name. A simple answer would be for me to rename my markers (and modify the macro I have that assigns them to use the new names). But that's frankly kind of irksome, since (a) it requires a token (ha!) effort, (b) the names will not actually be the names of the conditions they represent, and (c) it was a new feature that broke something that was working just fine for me. Instead, is there a way to just turn off the generously-supplied character sheet token markers?
