Allow users to access compendiums for pdf rulebooks purchased via DriveThruRPG

▲ Score + 2
I think it would be great if we could use the rulebooks we purchased as pdfs on DriveThruRPG via the compendium, assuming the rule sets are available on both platforms. As an example, let's say I purchase the PDF rulebooks for Call of Cthulhu or Pathfinder or Savage Worlds, etc., whatever the title. Would it be possible to get access to that as a compendium on Roll20? If it's a vital method of revenue generation, would it be possible to offer a steep discount to help users avoid buying the same things twice (and sometimes a third or fourth time)? The same is true for items purchased on Demiplane. Long story short, my suggestion/request is that we be able to have access to the Roll20 compendiums when we buy the rulebooks through the Roll20 partnered marketplaces (like DriveThurRPG and Demiplane), please.
You'd have to get the someone like the publishers of those pdfs to create those compendiums.

Great point. I intend to say the ones that exist. For instance, there are compendiums on Roll20 for approximately 70 systems, most of which have core rule books, etc. available on DriveThruRPG. And that's just baseline. Some of them have additional compendiums available based on a variety of system expansions, etc. As an example, there are 7 for Call of Cthulhu, 3 for Blades in the Dark, around 15 for FATE, and it looks like 6 for Savage Worlds.
Note that "the compendium" is actually a bunch of compendiums linked to individual books (so, for example, for D&D 5E there are separate compendium sets linked to the 2014 Players Handbook, the 2014 DMG, Xanathar's, and so on. If I understand correctly, then the request would be that if Roll20 has a pre-existing compendium for a game book (rulebook, expansion, etc) then when that book is purchased in PDF form via a partnered store (DriveThruRPG, etc), the individual who purchased it (ie me) would gain access to the compendium in Roll20. That wouldn't seem to require additional work on the compendium itself, just roll20 to note that the individual was a legit purchaser of the content (some kind of account linkage between the two systems).  Which seems a pretty straightforward thing to do to me, although I suppose it could run into licensing issues with the content owner, who likely has separate and different agreements with the two entities. Anyway, even though I don't use DriveThruRPG today, I'll throw my vote in.  That might even get me to buy some PDFs from them.
Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. I don't think there needs to be any meaningful change or extra work done, but if I own the core rules, or the core rules + additions that already have a compendium, I think it would make sense to have access to that compendium on Roll20. My apologies for not knowing the most accurate way to describe that.

I'm thinking that the only thing stopping that from happening is the publisher's willingness to allow it. Roll20 and DriveThruRPG, etc. are partnered, but still separate entities, so the publishers of those resources probably still want to charge for each instance of the literature; similar to the way that if a player buys the D&D Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond, they have to buy a separate copy to use on Roll20, and if they also want a physical copy they need to buy that as well. And, Roll20 or any other creator ( legally) can't just decide to create a compendium without those publishers' permission.
