Why does the game crash when using the 3d dice?

Why does the game crash when using the 3d dice? I have had this happen when it's just me as the dm farting around with the dice roller! It's even worse with another player in!!!!  Is there a fix in the works for this? Also how come my google chrome avatar picture won't show up in the avatar box? All i get is the blue squiggly line default picture as shown above!
I have found the same problem with the 3d dice when using Google chrome. The problem is eliminated when I use Firefox. I think it may be a problem with the latest version of Google chrome?
It figures i just told all my players to get google chrome so they can play my campaign! What about my missing picture in my avatar box?
The 3D dice require a pretty beefy computer to run in terms of graphical horsepower and available memory. It may be that you have more luck with one browser (Firefox or Chrome) on your specific computer. But as far as I know there are no inherent issues with either Chrome of Firefox at this time. I'm not sure what you mean by "Google Chrome avatar picture". You can change your avatar on Roll20 (including here on the forums and in-game) on your account page: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/account" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/account</a>
Thanks! The picture thing was driving me nuts!

I think it can cope quite well with the graphical horsepower that is required. Google Chrome definitely has an issue, my friends had frequent dropouts when we had 3d dice enabled in our last session and when we switched to Firefox the problems were resolved.

Well, if you want you can keep an eye on the Task Manager in Chrome (look at the GPU Process and the name of the window for Roll20 in the list) to see if it's consuming large amounts of memory before it crashes. Other than that, I'm not sure what to say, other than WebGL is still pretty experimental stuff, so these sorts of issues do sometimes happen. But again, I use the 3D Dice in Chrome myself quite often and haven't noticed any issues.&nbsp; Is anyone else out there experiencing this issue with Chrome suddenly? Maybe they changed something in the last update?
I have been having intermittent problems with 3D dice crashing Chrome since I started using this site (back in... January?). We avoided it by turning the function off though.
Same here, I have a dedicated graphics card and can play MMPORGs in a PvP environment with no hiccups. But if I fire up Chrome, go into Roll20 and use the 3-D dice I am guaranteed to crash sooner or later. We finally just stopped using it, too much time lost waiting for some person or other to log back in after crashing. We also occasionally noticed that what the 3-D die roll showed and the result that appeared in the chat window were sometimes two different things.
I noticed that this happens to my players sometimes, and the temp fix I have, is that after 30 minutes of game play to just refresh the page and they are good to go with out anymore problems. May not work for everyone, but its something to try?&nbsp;
I've noticed Chrome has all kinds of problems on numerous sites that use Java or other scripts.&nbsp; I finally solved the problem by switching back to Firefox.&nbsp; If you're having issues with the 3D dice and you're using Chrome, I suggest trying it with Firefox.&nbsp; You can always just use Firefox for your Roll20 games if you really like Chrome that much. For me, having to switch to Firefox whenever I used certain sites because Chrome wouldn't work properly more than outweighed any perceived benefits of using Chrome, buy YMMV.
