Watch the video (with bad music) to see them work. As an added bonus you can now find out who in the party is color blind. Black Tile + Red Tile = hidden rune. Two tiles the same size.... PNG with transparency. On their own, they just looks like noise. But overlap them and interference between the two tiles lets an hidden image be revealed. Perfect for any number of interactive dungeon mini games. We were replaying the Temple of Elemental Evil in 5E and most my group is old and they have a lot of player knowledge. So I needed a new puzzle and wanted something interactive but didn't have time for something in API (I am very slow coder and a very bad coder.) This leverages Roll20 in a way I haven't seen before.... they are just player controlled PNG tokens but they will only properly go together one way (I don't want to give too much away but in additional to matching red to blue, tile adjacency is also a factor.) You just drop the pieces on the map and let them work at it (which is entertaining when you have six people all moving 27 tokens all at once.) And these some tokens could be used a dozen different ways, not just only in the example game provided.

From my point of view it's also a way of using the media we have(png, mostly) in the most magical way, you can make the very cool puzzles, but you can also write misterious messages, some of the symbols can fit to write words in the floor(some limits here, but you can manage quite well, anyway I hink this can be fun "What's that, a reverse A or a V?", the human imagination can manage this without breaking I think), meanwhile the players have to test which are the missing letters(I hope you understand what I mean with my horrendous english) to get a password or find the question for a quiz in the wall, it can be also decorative: you move to a room, touch something, and some symbols turn on and others off at the room before, etc. I think this is every GM's dream, a lot of ways for annoy your players in a simple and elegant style! Will purchase next time my players move to an ancient giant temple. Such a great idea, Stephen :D, sorry if I used too much honey on my text!

Its extremely powerful, creates a player interaction with the puzzles in many many different ways. Puzzle Pack II builds on the same idea; however there is a bit of a twist... it leverages the fact that Roll20 "aura" always appears between the map layer and the token objects and respects transparency (don't want to spoil anything here.) I had fun making these and had a lot of fun with them in my campaign.
