Soundcloud Music files that work well in game

I will often spend a lot of time building music collections around my games. Given the limitations imposed by the interface I tend to play pieces that introduce themes and change the mood, then allow silence to overtake the group until the next shift. While an ability to set up and run playlists would facilitate the music management much better, here are a few files I have recently discovered that work in Roll 20: https://soundcloud.com/the-dichi-string-quartet/nearer-my-god-to-thee-titanic very good for downbeat sections https://soundcloud.com/melanous/the-doors-the-end an excellent "wrap up" piece played low under the game https://soundcloud.com/jason_rawland/angelo-badalamenti-fire-walk-with-me mystery loops well https://soundcloud.com/racyja/stary-olsa bar background talking https://soundcloud.com/catholic-by/ave-maria medieval punk rock by Stary Olsa! https://soundcloud.com/grey-mouse-band/grey-mouse-ultima-thule-trip wierd indo-sixties vibe https://soundcloud.com/justsaymeow/saymeow-ultima-thule Belarus Rap music https://soundcloud.com/alexey-retinsky/ultima-thule Ambient drift goes well ubder the game All of these files can be added to your game by pasting the link into the music search and can add depth to the game.

Excellent recommendations. How do you keep track of which song title is which description? Just from memory or a side-list of notes? Example, it would be neat if the GM could retitle or re-categorize within the Jukebox as what you've described "bar background talking" rather than "catholic-by/ave-maria "

You can, click into the song title, hit [Home] and type your sorting criteria, make sure use use either all caps or all lower case, caps are sorted first then lowercase. I like to use "Ambient" for background sounds, "Battle" for fight music and for single sounds "A" like A Bell, A Horse... My list looks like A-Bell A-horse Bar-background Bard-Russian folksong Battle-Orchestra Ride of the Valkyries ...

Awesome! What a great tip. Vince also gave me the similar hint in another thread, which I've just read moments ago. Brilliant. It escaped me. Didn't realize you could mouse-over songtitles in the Jukebox and edit the title. (Hail, non-obvious user interface feature). Now I've got a moderate size collection of songs to go back and rename. After fixing what I've already collected, I'll be much more comfortable adding more sounds to my collection, as I'll be able to find whatever one I'm looking for. Though I still endorse the Playlist suggestion for the Jukebox, and added my +1 to that. In the meantime I'll prefix my songtitles with the Playlist/Environment/Scenario I want for that sound.
If I might be allowed to offer my humble collection of Sound Cloud pieces of music and effects https://www.dropbox.com/s/p3sngewdlejiwfl/Master%20Soundcloud%20List.rtf?dl=0

Anything composed by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) is my go to when adding music to my games. Nearly his entire library is up on SoundCloud.
Great suggestions! Loving the medieval punk rock. Thanks for the thread al e. I'm excited to listen to more.

Didn't realize you could mouse-over songtitles in the Jukebox and edit the title. It was the same for me, took me a long time to realize you could re-name the sound clips as well. Once I figured that out, organizing them for a specific game session became a lot easier.
I find it's always a good idea to have Yakety Sax queued up, but maybe the frequency with which I find it relevant says something about the kind of games I run/play.

After a particularly bad series of attack rolls, my players insisted I add that to the line up and play it whenever appropriate.
