NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME! We are looking for a few players to join our weekly gaming group. We use Google Hangouts and sometimes incorporate Roll20 (depending on the game). We currently are a group of 3 and are hoping to find one or two more people to game with us. Sessions are recorded and will be uploaded to YouTube. Our new and improved YouTube channel (which launches 1-2-15) is called The Saints Roost. The idea is that our page is a virtual tavern that exists within the realm of RP and the games we play are stories told by weary adventurers passing through :). We are looking to build a community of players who are like minded and care about the characters, stories, and worlds that we create. The system that we are currently using is a mix of Fate Accelerated and a Homebrew that is incredibly simple and is far more focused on the story than rules and stats. Let us know here if you are interested or you can hit us up at "@SaintsRoost" on Twitter, email us at thesaintsroost@gmail.com , , or on out G+ Page which is linked below. I hope to meet some of you guys in the realm of gaming :D. https://plus.google.com/u/0/#104743950419915661063/posts
I would love to join though i would have to learn the system
Trust me it won't take ten minutes to wrap your head around it lol it's very simple. Btw, if you do not mind me asking how old you are and what is your experience with roleplaying games? (There's really no wrong answers lol).
Interested. I'm 17 been RPing for about 2 years. Played DND 4 and 5e , the one ring, and EOTE.
I'm interested in this, I don't have very much gaming experience and have only really played one game of anything but I have experience with parts of the Elder Scrolls Mythos. Though if Skype's required I won't really be able to do that as I'm using a friends computer for at least another week and can't use Skype on it. But I'm kinda' in the same boat as Neon in that I'll need help to learn the system but I'm willing to learn. Thanks for reading and if you don't want me I hope you have a fine time without me.
Thanks guys for replying :-). Btw Sir Siggles, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?
I'm 23.

Awesome, we are all 3 in the 22-25 age range as well so that would work good. Due to bad experiences we definitely prefer any players to be 18+, but we are open to younger players if they are mature enough. Richard C, it seems as though you've gamed enough to prove that you would probably take it seriously lol.
It's understandable I suppose, is it alright still that I won't have Skype for at least a week?
Yeah we use Google Hangouts, so there won't be any need for Skype :-D.
So, Sir Siggles, just a few quick questions for you: What is the ideal experience that you hope to get out of joining the Saints Roost? What are you looking for in a roleplaying game? How would you describe your personality? Would you be interested in joining other games that we run other than the Elder Scrolls one? Lastly, we are a weekly gaming group, do you think that you could consistently be active in our games? We are strong believers that real life comes first and understand when stuff happens but we are hoping to find someone that will take our games seriously to a degree and invest in the stories and characters that we create :-).

Well, to be honest I'm more aligned towards the roleplaying aspect so I was hoping that it wasn't just "Hack through dungeon, find new dungeon and repeat." and as for personality...well I'd say that I'm not very confrontational but I'll at least try to lighten the mood at times, since it's not very fun when everyone's "No jokes, nothing." And while I don't know much about Fate Accelerated I'm completely willing to try. The weekly thing depends, since I'm on MST and 7:30 is 6:30 here I should be able to make it fairly consietinly
We're definitely more focused on the roleplaying aspect as well :). I'll talk to the guys tomorrow and sometime soon (probably after Christmas lol) we can all get on Google Hangouts and talk about everything and set a plan into action, that is if you are interested in pursuing this lol.
Don't worry, if they don't show up. We can always use...The Stick of Paaaain!
Best idea that I've heard all day lol!!!
Hello! I'm hoping that you have space in your game, since it seems like a lot of fun. As you can tell from my username, I'm Connor, nice to meet you. Experience/Age - While I haven't had any experience with Fate Accelerated, I have been playing other games like DnD since about the age of nine (My Uncle introduced me to 1e DnD), so that would put me clocking in at 7 years of experiences, since I'm 16. Ideal Experience - What I'm hoping to get from this game is a fun time and a couple of new friends. What I look for in RPGs - In roleplaying games, I look for having a fun time and having some stories to tell to my friends afterwards, whether it's a bad series of botches, funny character moments, or whatever. What kind of person I am - Personality wise, I'd consider myself to be very forward. I'd rather talk out problems than let them fester. I will admit to disliking when people talk down to me because of my age. I've been in a plethora of different games and in almost every single one, the age of the rest of the players has been around 20-30, so I'm use to the maturity requirements that you want from a player. Besides that, I like making jokes and telling stories about all kinds of things. Interest in other games - I would most certainly be interested in joining other games if I had the time, I'm all for trying out new systems! Attendance - I'll be able to make every game and stick around for as long as it runs! P.S. I'd just like to say that I haven't actually set up a google hangouts account, so if you do want me to play with you guys, I may need a little help with that. Thanks!
That kinda' reminds me, I've never really used Google Hangouts so I'll probably need help with that as well.
Ive played in enough games to take it seriously. I would love to ay in all the other games you guys put together. I am a fun, funny, and active player in a group and will show regularly. I only miss if I have something IRL that I have to do. That said it happens once in a oblivion gate opening. I have played every elder scrolls. I love the games. I enjoy roleplaying more than combat and would love to learn fate accelerated. I have used Google hangouts and have a webcam. Let me know! Richard
I'll get a hold of the other two fella's involved with this as soon as I can and I'll let you all know :).
Are you guys still interested in joining us? Due to the holidays I haven't had the chance to get together with the others to discuss everything in length, but I'd like to get a roll call of sorts of everyone that is still interested so we can figure everything out :-).
I'm still up for it if you would have me
I'm still interested!
I am definitely interested
"Double post, my bad."
Alright guys, I've had a chance to talk things over with the fella's and since you all seem like you would be good additions to the group we'd like to see what kind of ideas you guys could come up with before we really decide, so if you are still interested, of you could come up with an Elder Scrolls character concept that you might be interested in playing in the game and we can look over them all and go from there :-). Also, another thing I was curious about is if any of you guys would be interested in GMng at all?
I can't GM but I can come up with a character.
I'd say I could GM...but I could only do the story, so not really. Sorry. Also I already have a few character's in mind.
I'd love to hear the characters that you guys have in mind :).
Well I have three, one's a Female Kajiht who's a dancer that's barely scraping by, another is the cliché boisterous Nord and the third is a Argonian Bardish Fellow. Are any of the those okay?
Well, I can't say I have the time for GMing, One of the ideas for a character was to play one of the more esoteric types of Khajiit, an Ohmes or Ohmes-raht in particular. They're one of the more humanoid subraces, looking like one of the elvish races, with the Ohmes-raht having tails and cat eyes. They typically distinguish themselves with complicated face paints and the like. As for what he does, it'd depend mostly on what the party has, but I was thinking along the lines of something like the nightblade class in oblivion. It was the one that specialized in stealth and archery, using poisons and magic to augment their natural abilites.
I was thinking about playing a character hailing from Skyrim. He is a rogue nord, stealing to get by. He was in the orphanage in Riften and snuck out one day and made a living picking pockets, stealing, etc. He joined up with the thieves guild and ran some odd jobs for them. He became good, real good at stealing and would occasionally steal from many traders, only those with enough to go around and kept some for him and gave some to the hermits who had almost raised him. He went from being nothing to something as being one of the best thiefs at getting in and out without being noticed and taking not only what he needs but what he wants and has gotten into and out of trouble.
If you guys don't mind could you put them in this format? Name: Race: Gender: Age: Concept: That would make it a whole lot easier to compare and look at them together :-D.
Alright! I'll just use the one I'd prefer to use the most. Name: J'nja Rojani Race: Khajiit Gender: Female Age: In her early 20's (Imperial Years.) Concept: A disillusioned Khajiit dancer that's turned to petty theft after fleeing from Elsweyr after she stole from the wrong person and or persons.
Name: Dar'Do'Jos (But you can call him Dar) Race: Khajiit - Ohmes-Raht subrace Gender: Male Age: 26 Concept: Cynical and wisecracking. Solves problems with martial prowess and supplemental mix of magic and alchemy. Lacking in pure physical power, he has learned to utilize stealth and archery to stay safe from bad situations. In a straight fight, he relies on finesse based sword play and magic to keep himself alive, and when all else fails, alchemy in the shape of poison or smoke bombs can make for a quick escape. Considered of mediocre skill in each of these fields individually, his ability to apply them creatively keeps him alive.
Huh. Two Khajiits, this is slightly unexpected
Sorry.
Oh, no it's fine! In fact you posted yours while I was typing out mine, so technically you got first dibs... if dibs are a thing that is
What's really awkward is that there's already Khajiit in the party................xD
If he isn't a Ohmes-Raht, then I preserve my special snowflake status!
Haha for sure :-). Btw, we also have an Orc and a Breton
Oh and the game is currently set in Skyrim, but we may go to other provinces.
What are the other characters like?
The Breton is very academic and is a mage that absolutely despises daedra, the Khajiit is a sneaky and very humorous rouge that sales skooma on the down low and is sometimes a dick lol, and the orc (my character) is kind of a broken being who is trying to embrace the more civilized life of the normal world after being cast out of his stronghold. They are all much deeper than that but there's at least a little bit about them for you guys. :-)

Name: Strong Runner Race: Nord Sex: Male Age: 25 Concept: (Rogue)Skooma addicted mercenary. Hired hand if the price is right. In a fight will rely on what ever means necessary to win. Even if it's a dirty under hand tactic. Drinks variety of poison's daily to help balance the addiction. Over the course of time has built up a tolerance to most drugs. Also using their system for a no miss chance assigned necessary power points. I was told no, and lost my abilities. What was I to say? I roleplayed my character well. I guess I can go use the Argonian Bardish fellow since three Khajiits doesn't really make sense... Name: Teiraz Four-Talons Race: Argonian Gender: Male Age: Later 30's in Imperial Years. Concept: Born on a small border town of Cyrodill, he's a slightly unhinged self proclaimed Bard who wants to share his...unique takes on Legneds to the rest of the world.
I love the idea of an Argonian Bard lol! Btw would you guys be interested in running a one shot to see how everyone meshes with the group :-)? It could work as a prequel of sorts to explain how characters meet up and all that jazz lol. Or we could even run a standalone or something.
I'm fine with that!
I'd be on board for that, sounds like fun!
I just figured that it would be a more casual session, no stress, just fun storytelling and getting to know everyone.
