Something keeps crashing my video driver, not sure what.

But it's only on Roll20, and I haven't been able to reproduce it reliably. While playing, the screen goes all fuzzy then blacks out, comes back with a message that the video card stopped working or something. (I'll try to get more details next time, this is what I jotted down last time) When I'm using OBS to record when it dies, I get the message: Map Failed: 0x887a0005 0x887a005 Video Card disappeared from system and that it could be caused (I think) 'if open cl in x264 custom settings' I have no idea what that means; do you? Windows 8.1 Chrome 45.0.2454.93 Flash 18.0.-1 Newest card drivers for AMD Radeon R5 200series Anyone else having this problem? -Phnord

Do you experience the same issue if you trying using a different browser like Firefox?

Hey folks. After a week of testing, I've learned the following: It happens in both Chrome and Firefox. Explorer has issues of its own rendering it unsuitable for me, but it crashes there, too. The most reliable method of reproducing this, that I have found, is to move the map around with right-clicking of the mouse. It has also crashed while using the scroll-wheel, both horizontally and vertically. It also appears to have crashed when a player uses waypoints to move a token. It even once crashed when nothing whatsoever was happening, that I could tell; I wasn't even touching either my keyboard or mouse. Right-click map moving has proven 100% effective, with the time required for a crash varying from immediately to several minutes of repeated motion. For obvious reasons, I'm unable to include a screenshot of the effect. Solving Technical Issues checklist: Step 1: Use the right browser. Yep, newest Chrome build, as far as I can tell. As above, brower is irrelevant; all three crash. Step 2: Disable extensions. The only one I am using is AdBlock, and I've got it disabled for Roll20. Crash still occurs. Step 3: Clear Cache. Phnord, just a quick question. What type of anti-virus are you using and did you disable it when you were testing out how to crash the map? I didn't see it listed or mentioned so I thought I would ask.

And it crashes only when you have OBS running while you move the map or is it crashing anytime you move it? Just trying to wrap my brain around what could be causing it.

Another question. Did you change any setting in OBS and are you running the latest stable video card drivers (not the newest)?

Hi Phnord, it looks like it's a WebGL issue. Try disabling WebGL in Chrome and see if that directly stops the issue. If that's the case you should look into specific issues with your video card handling WebGL.

So it's been a while but I thought I'd go ahead and send y'all an update: TLDR Version: I got it working now. It was apparently either a faulty videocard or simple incompatibility with the card. I followed all the above advice, and nothing worked. New drivers, disabling WebGL, everything. Continued to get the red-scatter video effect, followed by a blank screen, then coming back to error messages and a corrupted Roll20 image. I removed the&nbsp; AMD Radeon R5 230 1 GB &nbsp;card the computer came with and used the motherboard-based video. Worked just fine. As of today, I have installed a&nbsp; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 2GB &nbsp;card. So far, so good. No crashes as of this point. Thanks for all the help, those who tried to do so!
