Isometric maps from published adventures

I love using Isometric maps on Roll20. It's a great way to get back that feeling of real miniatures on a tabletop. Unfortunately, most of the published maps are top-down. It turns out it's pretty easy to make a nice isometric map from content in pdfs. It took me a while to figure this out, so I posted a quick video tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnVO4IsWssI (Sorry about the audio. It's my first vid.)

Thanks for the instructions and youtube, Plexsoup. By the way I subscribed to your new YouTube channel. I am just now starting to try Isometric maps in Roll20, and I am going to use some of Plexsoup isometric art from Roll20 marketplace . Now I might also bring in some flat / top-down maps, and convert them using your method. My only wish is if I could get map-building help in Roll20 from someone who has experience assembling these pieces (back-left to front-right!). Since like you said in the youtube caption, assembling them can be somewhat tricky. I can do it following instructions but there is a learning curve for me doing this. Send me a message if you want to help, my players would love it!

Happy to help. I'll probably make some videos for constructing roll20 maps from my sets as well.

I've added a few blender demonstrations to the channel to help you make isometric landscapes and dungeons. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRowqkTJFQBxGbe_r...
is there maybe a way for an app or script to to do all that automaticly and you just need to add the map you want isometricfied?

A script should be possible, but I haven't seen one. It's just a matter of taking a token, rotating it 45 degrees, then scaling it 57.7% on the (global) vertical axis. When I tried scaling assets vertically in the game, after rotation, they scale on the local axis which doesn't quite work.
