Hello and thanks for reading my post, My names Alex and I'm 26, i am quite new to table to role playing but very eager to get going, i have experience of one or two one shot D&D 4e games recently and found them to be most enjoyable. I am willing to try/learn almost any game but if possible i would like to find a good D&D 4e campaign. I am available between 4pm and midnight Sun-Thu, 4pm onwards on Friday and all day Saturday. Using the categories of players in the 4th edition DM's guide i guess i would be described as a Slayer/Thinker/Watcher although i am sure i will start to get more into the story telling aspect of the game once i get settled into a more regular group. I'm a quick learner and will make an effort to read up on any relevant material before the game so as to not hold the rest of the group up with constant questions. Again Thanks for reading and i look forward to your responses.
Well, I've got a Game of Thrones campaign starting next Monday at 7pm GMT+1 which you are welcome to join if you wish. Hope you find a group for you :) Sebastian E.
Hey Alex, I'm also new on here and to the tabletop world, and in GMT +2 zone, if you find a group that doesn't mind new players, would you please give me a shout as i'm also looking for a group but haven't had any luck so far :(

Well, I've got a Game of Thrones campaign starting next Monday at 7pm GMT+1 which you are welcome to join if you wish. Hope you find a group for you :) Sebastian E. First of all thank you for the offer, but i don't think the setting really suites me, for a start i may well be the only living person left to not have not seen or read anything about Game of Thrones, also I tend to prefer the more high fantasy setting where magic and the sort are more prominent. But thanks again, i will look into the game in a bit more depth and see if anything catches my interest and i will let you know if it does. Hey Alex, I'm also new on here and to the tabletop world, and in GMT +2 zone, if you find a group that doesn't mind new players, would you please give me a shout as i'm also looking for a group but haven't had any luck so far :( I will let you know if I find anything. For a worst case scenario if we can find more player we could perhaps start our own group and go through some of the more basic premade campaigns until a more talented/willing DM/GM arises.
I will let you know if I find anything. Thanx a lot, Appreciate it. I will let you know if I find anything. For a worst case scenario if we can find more player we could perhaps start our own group and go through some of the more basic premade campaigns until a more talented/willing DM/GM arises. Yeah that sounds like a good idea as well :) That way we can figure out the game as a group, and at the same time get some experience and start/join some more advanced adventures or even campaigns in the future. So far, the big prob for me was the fact that it seems that there isn't a lot of people here in the gmt -2 to gmt +2 area. And i'm also not that familiar with the Game of Thrones thing (read like a quarter of the first book and that's about it), didn't even know there's a tabletop game out.
I am currently considering running a Pathfinder game through the Jade Regent AP. It would be my first time actually GMing (I GM a PbP game, but that's not really the same thing), so I certainly wouldn't mind new and unexperienced players. I know the rules pretty well and played a few games already, just never GMed and would help you get started as best as I can. If I really do this, the game wouldn't start for at least a week, more likely two. It's not 100% sure I'll do it, but I kinda want to, so I'm fairly certain. I'm also in GMT+1 timezone (or is it +2 right now?). email me at khales (dot) aoc -at- gmail dot-you-know-what if you're interested. I'm also on skype, skype name is the stuff before the at-sign. Not just the two of you, anyone interested feel free to email me :)
Oh i would definitely be interested if you decide to go through with it. Is there a rules resource somewhere that we can check out in the meantime to try and familiarize ourselves with at least the basics of Pathfinder?
Ah yes there is in fact one: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ It may seem overwhelming at first, but it holds the contents of 7 books or so. Not to mention anything useful from level 1 through level 20 and stuff only useful for GMs. You certainly don't need to know everything on there. The game starts at level 1, so knowing the high level spells and feats etc. really isn't needed to start. Check out the "Getting Started" section there, that should guide you around so you get the basics. Or you go to http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ That's essentially the same stuff, just sorted by book, which might make it easier to get into? I don't really know. You can also find the Player's Guide for the Jade Regent Adventure Path here: http://paizo.com/products/btpy8mh3?Pathfinder-Adventure-Path-Jade-Regent-Players-Guide It gives a spoiler-free overview of what you can expect from the game and helps you make a character. At times the Player's Guide makes it seem like the 4 NPCs are the most important, but that's a bit misleading. It is still the player's story, the NPCs won't steal the spotlight.

Looks like it could be fun i will chat to you on Skype if i see you on.
I am currently reading through the Core Rulebook pdf. Some of the stuff is very confusing so i might require assistance during the game, but I think I at least understand most of it so far. Looks like fun and looking forward to playing a game sometime. :)
