Scheduling 2E Adventures (MAY 3, 10, Not 17?, 24, 31) Playing Tuesdays main session; 2nd group on an off day

Main Game day is presently set for TUESDAYS (MAY 3, 10, 17 , 24, 31...). NOTE: No DM on May 17. We will play on Thursday that week instead (attendance optional). Also you may still pop-in on Tuesday 17 but just RP self-started with each other and work on your characters, party tactics, macros, stats and Journals. On some of the Mondays or Thursdays, we may also run secondary sessions. These are optional, 2nd party, side sessions, or Co-GM prep and PC bookkeeping opportunities. Ask the DM and a Party of Fellow Players if you want to spin off and play on an off day like Monday or Thursday, any of the weeks. Add to your calendar: The above dates, usual start time 2:05PM Central USA. Time converted for your Time Zone is listed on the campaign details main page. Need to add the latest new PC names there. In-game upcoming: Find a way to help Ota Sura and her folk against the Orc Front Before you leave town, a crowd gathers for a kind of 'coronation festival' announcing the formation of a new governmental authority for the Portlandio Peninsula region ("the Portlandio Province") --- with a prominent PC Protagonist Horukh 2.0 appointed to executive office by the regional military General Yi Ko! Soon  Margrave Horukh will emerge with a new appearance, new abilities, new wealth and powers, and a deliver a speech to the town (1st of 2 prepared),  Being vested with governmental authority by the regional military General Yi Ko. Congratulations, it's like you have almost a Vice President in your party. A host of NPC's will be in attendance,  NPC's on-stage backing Horukh and Yi Ko, such as the Cowled Greek Monks who will now appear as hooded Black Bird-Men, and other NPC figures of interest in the audience,  and of course bleachers and yards full of townsfolk. Each PC can choose to attend the coronation festival or not!  Several PC's will be there.  We'll poll the players and find out where each PC is positioned. Party preparing to go adventuring out of town -- finding multiple reasons to seek and visit the wise and powerful Half Elf Mayor, the aunty Ota Sura. Here is another pic of Ota Sura (at right) based on who I'm going to use for picturing Ota Sura. In other words the picture is derived from a different fantasy figure in popular culture, I don't want to say the name but you might recognize from some of the images. I'm using her images to represent our Ota Sura in Homebrew because of ((reasons that make sense)), so look on the pictures when you see Ota Sura.  One of the visual hints is she is a planter, seed-and-seedling sower. Gradually figure this lady out, and her powers, and her roleplay.  Ota Sura lives 80-100 miles to the Northeast of Portlandio, which is nearer to the Orc Front. She's known or rumored already among various PC's and your Campfire legends, as Half Elf, Mayor, Aunty, elderly even for an elf-blooded, Diviner, Transmuter, Teleporter, Planter, Wizard, Military Specialist, Frontline Defender. We are going to learn more about the Homebrew of this friendly figure over the next 1-2-3-4-5 sessions. Ready to Play? Q&A? Post here to update the group if you won't be able to play. There's a 50 50 shot I might have to miss this tuesday due to work. I'll know by Monday night. I really hope I don't though, I REALLY want to be there for that speech. However, if I do have to work this tuesday, I'd be off Thursday.

Welllll I've written the speech already and if you aren't there to hear it, I can post the transcript.  Based upon what I know of Valk, it will probably make his fur crawl.  Not just the concepts themselves as presented, but also the idea that Valk may have met his nemesis... in intellect.  The more Valk thinks over what is in the speech the more he'll realize there are dozens of layers of cunning strategy in it, much of it nonlinear...but the broad strokes will Creep Valk Da Hell Out, and those who knew Horukh before will  probably just stare.

Won't be there for the speech as well (provided it will in fact be this week), unfortunately, uni parties take priority :^) Not like Azur has a lot of interest in the speech itself (moreover from someone aligned with Yi Ko), but the mass of people gathering to listen would certainly get his attention. 

Poor Azur... he even runs away from crowds now!  (but, the player is running towards beer and parties, so maybe Azur has it together...)

One other thing I can tell you Horukh will do, as Margrave, is declare the Challengers of Destiny as a law-exempt special investigators team.  That might catch your interest..........

Could you send it to me after the session if I can't make it. Valk will have a few words to say in return. If I can't be there to argue in person, I'll write a counter speech that Valkenhayn will give right on the spot depending on how awful he finds it.

Actually, good news. I just found out that I'll be there.

That is good news Cat.  OK.  Gold I am curious, are we playing Monday and Tuesday this week, or Tuesday and Thursday?  Or something else? Cat I am putting some commentary on the Journals thread for you.

Thursday probably (shorter, optional, and more casual). We may later switch Thursday to Monday in the future but not this week or next. Heads up everybody!! I may need to move the main session for an upcoming week to Wednesday 18th or Thursday 19th; I have a meeting coming up on Monday 16th + Tuesday 17th. I'll raise this discussion in-session this week and make plans for next week.

as much as i want to run with both groups because i love all of our players, i can only commit to days OTHER than Mondays. Any other day is fine.

Gold, I know for sure I couldn't make either of those dates that week unless someone at work does a shift swap with me for Thursday.

I'll need to leave early this Tuesday due to work. There was a power outage, and they moved today's shift to tomorrow.

There is a 70 percent likelihhood I will be there & able to play for the Thursday afternoon session with Gold & Solid.  Pretty sure I can make it, but there could be some life-logistics interference.  Also I made a note on the OOC Chat board that I hope the players will take to heart!

Yessir. Roll a Secret Doors check, roll a d6 and try to roll low. I'm consistent about updating the Next Game Time that shows on Roll20 for this game. Doublecheck there and it is automatically converted for your Time Zone. My ability to attend the 19th is very shakey at this point. I am going to try, but there is so much going on. I'm going to be getting a phone call tomorrow at some point to set up an interview with a new job, and while I'm at it I've been given some errands that need to be run as well. I'm going to try to get all of this done before the game though. Just wanted to let everyone know that my chances for attending this week are 50/50

No problem Cat , thanks for updating us. Something good if you can play Thursday 19, you'll get to meet & RP with SolidHybrid who plays Torvald (Dwarf) and Baradin (Human Cavalier). His characters have a growing amount of context and subtext in the homebrew world; stories, questlines, and relationships. Other regular Thursday players are Larry , Erik , and often Paul . Just to ease your mind about missing anything though, we won't play anything Thursday that advances the adventure too radically without you and the party quorum, unless it's something that can be recapped as episodic-play, or something that can be advance-explored by Thursday players & still leaving room for the Main Game on Tuesday 24 to decide their own path.  We will NOT be NPC'ing the missing PC's on Thursday. It's more of a side-quest adventure session that can accommodate whoever can play Thursday, but still leaves the main quest & world-moving action almost on-pause until the following Tuesday.

Regional vp and possy just flew in to my area 15min ago.... I may be stuck here a while but will do ny best to get out of here :( sorry for the short notice.
