Automatically Replicating Tilefloors

I have a player in my campaign, whose download speed is tiresomly slow, up to the point where roll20 maps take considerable time to entirely load. Most elements of my maps consist of roads and floors with many identical tiles, resulting in a lot of objects adding to the network load. Now I do have to say, I am not too familiar with how roll20 handles this specific bit, but what if you were to extend tiles by a property which instead on scaling the tile image when resizing, replicates it? This would not only save alot of time when creating maps, it should also reduce the amount of data to send, since all you require now is the elementary tile image and its grid dimensions, a starting point and an endpoint. The clientside Javascript would figure the rest out. I know you can kinda hack around this by tiling the images together in image editors like GIMP, but not only does that make the source image bigger, it also is a lot of work to do for every floor that has different dimensions.
