i'm trying to build a lore compendium for my game but all the changes i make after being saved revert when i change tabs

i make the change, save, and check that everything is the way i want it then move on and when i come back a few minutes later all the changes are reversed 

Can you give some more details? Are you using handouts for this? If so, be sure to click the blue Save Changes button to save your changes. Can you create a new game as a test and see if it happens in the new game, too? What browser and version are you using? Have you tried another browser? Have you disabled all extensions and add-ins for your browser?

yes i'm using handouts and yes i'm saving the changes, i've tried firefox and chrome and a new game, the problem persists through all

Be sure to turn off all extensions and add-ons in your browser (you may have tried that, but you don't mention it). If that does not work, grab a console log and post the results here in this thread.
