Newbie Map Maker Help

I was wondering if people could recommend some map making sets that are easy to use. I am looking for a dungeon set and a forest set, or two. As I mentioned this will be my first experience with map making so sets are very user friendly are really good.

Note, I havent used any of these packs, just suggesting a few artists that you may like. I`m sure most people would recommend Gabe, he has a bazillion sets, so if you want something he probably has a set for it. He has some complete maps and tiles for you to create your own. https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search?keywo... Personally I love Brass Badger Art, she also has some tokens set and modern if you are also interested in that https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search?keywo... Meditating Munky has a lot of sets also, his Endless Dungeon sets are modular (complete empty rooms of different sizes plus props), so they are easy to use for map building. https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search?keywo... If you want a retro/pixel look for your game, you can look for Zeshio, he has some cool tokens and top-down map tiles https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw... On my case, I also do Pixel art packs, I also did an Isometric one, which is a bit more complex but looks really good (tho I only have one set of that so far) https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw... For some of these (I know that for Zeshio and my packs it works perfectly) I recommend a program called Tiled, its a free program to create game maps (similar to RPG Maker) where you load the tiles you have, set up the size of each square (for example in my case, each square is 136x136), then you make the map with simple controls and layers, when you are done, you export it as a single PNG file and upload it to Roll20 (this way you only have 1 picture for the entire map so it should load a lot faster).

I think you made a whole bunch of great suggestions but there a few that you forgot to mention. There my sets, some woodland encounters that are great sets to work with check out some stuff at RPG Fantasy Graphics https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw... Then there some really great woodland sets from Russ Hapke He does a lot of good work https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw... There also david Hemenway who does really nice dungeon sets https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw... These are some wonderful artist to get some stuff from and find some nice things from them.
